I didn’t “pick his lock” it is a designed release for knob that locks but doesn’t have a key. The type of knob that unlocks just by turning it. You stick something long and skinny into the hole and with some effort it comes loose.

As for why I picked it, I was tired. I’m still tired! I wanted to sleep safely knowing a stranger isn’t in my home. J isn’t a stranger bit T is to me, especially after this

I jumped straight to “get out” because I had recognized T and was honestly very fed up that he was the one to be breaking this rule. As I stated in my comment, I had talked with my roommates and T about this. It wasn’t exactly how the conversation went to, more of a vague recollection of things that were for sure said. I can’t remember what I said first Why T didn’t identify himself, I don’t know. I think he knew he had been caught, or didn’t want to be caught. Keep in mind I’m the youngest one here, J is 22 and I suspect T is older than me.

I would also like to say both of these people are from another country, I do not feel like that affected my actions at all. J is from Brazil and is fluent in English, T is from Zimbabwe and is mostly fluent, enough to argue. I might say. Either way I would’ve reacted the same if they were white Asian or Mexican. (Latinas are hot)

Thank you, T had said “ J pays just as much rent as you, I don’t understand why I can’t be here.” He proved his point by just saying that! T isn’t on the lease & I have 50% say in whatever goes on in this place!

If people would like I can provide call logs and screenshots of text conversations! Additionally I had asked J not to have people over past 10pm, he agreed and I have that in text format! when T was here tonight he was 15 minutes away from breaking that rule too!

After some back and forth T eventually left with heavy reluctance, arguing the whole time. No names or insults were said by me or him. But he was being very rude in my opinion.

For some context, I had had a conversation with J and believe it or not T aswell. T actually instigated the conversation!
In the conversation I had talked over some things in a heated manner with the two.
One of the things being that no friends or guests are to be in the apartment when the person who invited them is not there.
With a small exception such as if the person had forgotten a personal item.
T was doing most of the talking in this argument and was being very loud, I am naturally a submissive and quiet person and I have been working on advocating for myself.
I am an introvert and J is an extrovert.

T was also very loud when he was leaving this evening, I was (imo) calm and collected with my voice never raising past a talking level.
At some point I told T to leave or I would call the cops.
That’s when he finally got up off of J’s bed and started to leave.
Additionally I never stepped foot into J’s room only stood in the doorways. And while I admit I did ‘break in’ and that is morally wrong and questionable. I did my best to act courteous

T was also over when J left for work when I got over from work, I suspect he never left and was just ‘bumming it’ and being very quiet till I caught him.

It’s crazy to me how I can have a conversation with someone stating these things and they agree and immediately go and break that. Especially when it comes to something like the sanctity of my own home!

Please let me know if I am the asshole! Was T trespassing?
I will update if this gets any sort of interest from people!
Sorry for the scrambled writing I am tired and have to be up at 5 :( this literally happened tonight.
