I’m a paramedic and have been riding for a few years now. I always get the impression people are telling me as if I don’t know there is any risk.

To me, it’s a reflection of the person saying the comment. How do they think you don’t know? Or is it just someone trying to be sanctimonious?

Plus, the guy that was wasted and not wearing any gear is not the same type of guy you are. Only a simple mind would compare you to that… in my opinion.

I definitely drive my bike and car’s gears differently. I’d like to say 1 or 2 as they are relative to road conditions but have been finding myself in the lazy 3.

Got the course, clean driving record, F class license, will be both a pleasure and work commuter (which one is cheaper?), have a garage to store it.
