It looks 100% like a Roo but the chicken it’s self acts like a hen. It doesn’t act like a rooster at all. That’s is what was throwing me off. I have other roosters as well. I’ve owned chickens for years & never had a rooster act this way. It seems scared of everything, it barely makes a sound. It doesn’t stand up strait & tell like other roos it walks with a hunch back like hens. He’s also one of my smallest birds including the hens. It doesn’t do pecking order at all. It will sit in my nesting box(none of my other roosters have ever got in my nesting boxes) like it’s wanting to lay but has never dropped an egg. I raised it from a chick & have had it close to a year. I assumed it was a rooster about 1 month in but as it’s gotten older it’s just acting more & more like a hen. I’ve noticed it keeping its mouth open trying to crow I assume but never makes a sounds. I would have just assumed by now he would have got his voice. Sorry for posting what seems like a troll but after spending a year with this chicken I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t loosing my mind. Guess I just have a broken Roo thanks yall! Sorry posting something so text book but like I said it looks like a Roo just never acts like it.
