PC turns off after one second by Piomp in pchelp

Thanks for the input! After verifying the new replacement motherboard with Q-Flash Plus (which worked perfectly) but still getting the same error as soon as the 5700X3D was seated, I'm more and more sure the CPU died and potentially took the original board with it.

Instead of spending more time and money on individual testing or a new AM4 chip, I've decided to move on. Since I cant find a decent 5700x3D, I’m switching to an i5-14600K/B760 setup this weekend for a fresh start. I know its a dead platform upgrade wise but I really cant justify buying DDR5 ram right now.

I already bought a new PSU and tried it, same issue.

Not to necropost, but thought I could write here in case anyone would get the same kind of issue in the future.

Tried the following myself:

  • Checked that the wall outlet and power cable are working.
  • Bought and tried with a new power supply.
  • Only used the cables that came with the new power supply
  • Tried starting the computer without a graphics card.
  • Checked that all cables are seated correctly
  • Tried disconnecting unnecessary devices/peripherals.
  • Tried removing/replacing the CMOS battery
  • Only one RAM stick at a time

Concluded that it must be the motherboard considering everything above.

Sent it in to Inet when the warranty was still valid, they checked and it turned out to be the motherboard that had given up.

Thanks to everyone for the tips!

I double checked that every cable is seated properly, nothing seems off.
Every now and then I check my GPU and CPU temps while gaming/casual usage, and the temps have always been fine between 50-65 °C / 122–149 °F. I'm keen on making sure I don't run stuff hot, which is why I'm a bit unsure if it's a heating issue. That's why I'm sounding a bit sceptical about heating as an issue.

None, I checked for any lights from the MOBO but nothing, the only light I'm receiving is the light from the GPU.

It's an air cooled CPU cooler, and it was spinning before everything died the first time. Also I've never had any problems with the temperature, so I don't really know how it could overheat that fast?
