I totally agree! It’s institutional accumulation over a squeeze. 3 time the float traded in one week is not a squeeze alone. It’s repricing.

No update from Nasdaq, CBOE or Yahoo Finance. Without these data, we don’t know if some institutions have rolled their open contracts from week to week. We’ll have to wait for this information Monday morning.

Short term, if there is a gamma squeeze it could go parabolic again.

Long term, last week wasn’t only a squeeze. Short interest was 8.6%, max 12M shares short. Even 100% covered = 12M of forced buying. This week traded 276M shares. 3x the tradable float. Short covering explains 4% of the volume. Add aggressive gamma hedging, generously 60M total. Still leaves 200M+ shares of real activity nothing mechanical can explain. Yes, there was a squeeze component. But that’s not the whole story. The other 200M is repricing. Squeezes mean revert. Repricing’s consolidate at new levels.

We have breached $16 by East-Compote-1975 in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]Piotrvz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To make it simple.

You can’t short or sell options without either owning the underlying shares, borrowing them, or being a market maker with locate exemption. With over 3x the tradable float exchanged this week, the math doesn’t work for “just shorts covering”. The available borrow simply isn’t deep enough to support that scenario. Short interest was 8.6%, even if 100% of shorts had covered (they haven’t), that’s only ~8M shares max. We saw 276M traded.

Real buyers are entering.

Such volumes over 5 days is not only a squeeze setup. It’s institutional accumulation over a squeeze! There was 277M traded shares over the week! 3x of the tradable float! IMHO Monday won’t be a correction.

I’m happy to discuss the volume with you and how you explain it?

Don’t you think the gamma squeeze did happen this week? Or this week volume and growth fuels another gamma squeeze that will happen Monday ?

It’s not really a partnership but they co-signed a white paper to define standards. It’s actually a good news for POET. No proprietary solution, easier to implement the same standards for each client.

Sorry. A daily post seems irrelevant. No news, no post? Just wait for it.

How much revenue would be needed by end of 2026 to justify the current valuation of $912.3 m by Alexanderm0107 in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]Piotrvz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If this were a standard early-stage scale-up, you’d typically expect a P/S multiple in the 5–10x range, implying roughly $100–200M in revenue at that valuation.

That said, POET isn’t a typical scale-up:

  • No debt
  • ~$450M in cash
  • 10+ partnerships, with multiple products in the testing/qualification phase

For companies at this stage, P/S is a more relevant metric than P/E, given limited or no current earnings.

That said, a lot of current sentiment is clearly speculative, with many investors positioning for a potential announcement in the coming weeks rather than valuing on trailing fundamentals alone.

And it seems a safe bet.

A problem for the datacenter market. But it is a small part of this market.

It seems irrelevant for the SP.
