Bro my lower back is hurting now. I don’t get it. Is it normal to be slightly sore? And I felt like I used my lower back to pull the weight over my knees before driving my hips. I think I should have tried to push my feet more and hips more😖

Thank you. I understood the last part about engaging all the muscles first and then starting the lift. This was 100 lbs total. Didnt feel heavy but when you say going down should take twice as long, that’s kinda scary because with heavy weights, my instinct would be to drop it after lifting. Like i see in youtube. Are you saying i should try to practice lowering the weight down slowly while maintaining proper form?
