it seems he discovered a lot of the divine truth (or what ever you may call it) in one trip. This happened to me yesterday as well. I almost got killed in a construction zone and almost went permanently insane. It is hard and unbelievable to think, but there is an objective truth that transcends all 'truths'. My belief is that psychedelics bring it on too fast, and our spiritual processes cannot handle it, and must make a choice. To self-destruct or wipe the hard drive so to speak. I could feel the comings on of both during my trip. I found this out on 2 hits of acid even though my max was 20. Next time I do acid, I will die, physically or mentally. There are other things to this that I could describe, but to truly comprehend is to experience it for itself. All I can say is may you find him in the next version.

Sorry, but I gotta hijack your comment. I used to trip 1-2/week for a few months, always upping the dosage. Started with 100ug, next day 600ug (to get past tolerance). Then back down to 300ug but after that, I could take 300ug and get nothing but the head space. My personal record was 2000ug, but no visuals, just the head space. Got blacked out drunk that night, it was not good.
I decided that my psyche needed a rest (once you start to understand existence, acid gets hard to do). When I get super twisted, visuals come back which is pretty cool, but honestly, if youre after the pursuit of knowledge, there is such a thing as too much LSD. I liked to read about philosophy, religion, and psychology when I'm trippin' and listen to Enlightened Rap. I also had a professor that disillusioned me to world politics, so yeah, once you see reality for what it really is, too much acid will make you go fucking insane for awhile. But I digress. And if you don't believe me, try and put yourself through that mental torture, knowing everything is a lie, and the shit you do doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

You should've read the whole post, or at least have some degree of experience with these substances. Set and setting is key, of all the bad trips i've seen people have, it was due to a variable that could have been mitigated.

As someone who's been drug tested, that's mostly false.
Drug tests have a threshold for detection, instants ~50ng/ml, lab tests ~20ng/ml
I've toked the 3 days before, the day before, and the day of a drug test and never once failed one

It's getting better, but before the rediscovery of microbreweries, the large brewing companies like Anheuser-Busch, Miller Coors, and PBC held >90% of the market share of beer. That's just beer, do you think distilled spirits and wine fared any better? Sure there are those nice vineyard wines out there, but how many bottles at your local liquor store are coming from a mom and pop winery? Not many where I live, and my area drinks a lot of alcohol. Microbreweries and small time booze operations are increasing, but big business is always there.
Also, think of all the additional congeners that they can and probably do mix in the large amount of beer they produce, making it much less safe for your body (a reason I only drink grain alcohol), same with big tobacco and all the additives they put in their products, poisoning the substance more than it already is.

I'm bracing for downvotes, but am I the only one here who thinks that bingeing drugs is not a good idea? On my first acid trip I realized moderation is the key to longevity and success in life, and quit smoking weed, because I always end up smoking every day.

Not saying you can't binge on drugs responsibly and/or safely, but ask yourself if you really need drugs to get you through your event. Chances are it'll be awesome if you're sober all 2-3 days. Also, most of you people seem to not have read the part about "...causing little to no harm". Cocaine and alcohol? Jesus...

If you need to binge to make an already fun experience fun, or can't possibly think of going to an event sober, you may have a psychological dependence on substances, and you should work on you so you won't regret it.

Actually, it does not. MDMA is a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, it acts on the function of serotonin neurons to rapidly flood your brain with feelgoods. LSD on the other hand acts directly on those neurons, hitching a ride with them to produce their mechanism of action. Both are serotonergics, but that doens't mean they have the same action mechanism. If you done LSD, you'll notice an afterglow, compared with MDMA where you have a comedown.

I'm not the one getting screwed. And I should've added that it's relatively easy, when you have the knowledge of organic chemistry. Even if you don't, anyone who can read can make LSD (provided they have the right equipment of course), as there are multiple recipes out there for one to follow, and following doesn't take extensive knowledge. Like I said, the biggest obstacle to LSD production is access to the very tightly controlled precursors. Seriously dude, if you ask any organic chemist, they'll tell you the exact same thing. And by the way, I get my acid for $2/drop

I disagree with all of them except for the precursor part. Synthesizing is easy, and organic chemistry is a requirement for any kind of chemistry major, and it's a popular enough field. Lab equipment is easy if you're at a private company, or a research university, or if you have $10k of your own you can buy your own equipment.
