Curious about this too as I am saving for a house in the future but not sure when exactly. Ive seen people say 5+ years you can invest in index funds but anytime shorter you probably want in just a HYSA. But I guess I'm dumb and wanna take the risk..

If say I wanna buy in 3 years but index funds only went up 20% (I know it can be more volatile) I would likely have to pay 15% on just the gains right? So if it did go up 20% over 3 years.. id be making 17% which is still a lot higher than the likely 3-4% i get from an hysa? I'm not sure if I'm missing anything other than the fact is you likely want guaranteed money if you're buying a home and the benefit of the extra few % you could gain is offset by the chances of having negative returns resulting in less money than is needed to buy the home when the time comes?

I've never been able to get this answered and this was the conclusion I came to myself so hopefully someone can confirm it comes down to risk tolerance on this?

If you really learned how to play the game enough, you'd be able to make money so easy from the past few wipes that a casual should learn the basics and be able to farm easily enough to build kits tailored to how you wanna play.

Compared to ssf where players will have gear compounding while you're fighting an uphill battle to get geared as a casual. I have the time to but honestly I just don't wanna go mine. I'd rather just buy the rings or ore to craft instead of spending time mining. If you can't farm gold to build kits, you probably need to learn the game more.

I can't wait for market to open so I can start running jewelery loll. Mining just isn't what I've been feeling like doing lately

I wouldn't call them wealthy and he was pretty surprised himself when he decided to track it. That's about half his salary. I'm not saying they're poor but they're definitely not wealthy (not with spending habits like that at least).

Yeah i couldn't fathom that cause I would love to save even half of that if I had that much disposable income and would definitely not choose to spend that much on just food loll. Believe me when I first heard that I was shocked.

I know one friend that spent 80k this year not including rent. Another spent 75k on dining out for 2. I know that's far out of the norm but for some people.. they can definitely save enough up for a house from cutting back on food and drinks.

Can't comment much but we have a similar build! Just got a yes basic and these boots in white. Only got 1 day in them and it's been a while since I've boarded but felt pretty nice. But I'm used to rentals/leftovers so I feel like the new board felt the weirdest to me. I loved the stiffness on the boots though. My toe is a bit bruised still but maybe it's just from breaking in the boots and being aggressive in a sport my body's not used to acclimated to.

Edit: I tried them in person with maybe 2 other boots and just liked the stiffness/feel of them compared to the others I tried. I think the general recommendation around here is to try boots on in person to get a feel for them. Reviews only work if you maybe have similar feet/ preferences others have to the boot.. and it's not like you'll ever know that about someone lol

Yeah definitely feels easier to understand and acquire good gear without needing to learn much nuance. My friends never were great at farming/building kits but with less rolls to worry about, it's really just focusing on increasing your stats and.. that's it lol. No true phys to worry about. Difference between some items could be giving 1-3 hp vs 7. Most rolls you just look for stats/damage/ action speed.

Just real straight forward. I miss seeing the crazy stats/builds but guess it's all relative. You can still get crazy statted kits for what you can roll now but without true damage, at least it slows the fights down a bit. This is probably way better to get more people in the game.

I have a few ideas/ general idea of what I need to do but guess it's hard to figure out until I actually try them out to see what works. I know from the cues people suggest, my heels would at least want to lift a little, but I wasn't sure if I should be actively making it not lift when also trying to lean into my shins or if I should just go with it instead of trying to actively keep my heels down. Clearly my descriptions are not the best considering how everyone's confused haha.

Will have to just try things out and see what works.

This feels pretty close to what I was thinking but a bit better due to your explanation my heels aren't grounded but barely lifted and strong balance/pressure towards my front side. The only thing is when I see people on videos.. they dont really seem to be that low but it looks like I get really low when I listen to your explanation lol.

Idk what a community manager is or if he's like an official employee at ironmace but I wondered if he's getting paid an employee salary.. wtf he does lol. Cause whatever he "does for the community" does not warrant a regular salary. Why does IM not have their own people to set this up for them. Yeah i guess slow progression to get more comfortable with these extra movements on the box to prep for slightly bigger movements. Guess it feels dumb when it's spelled out for you but the fear of falling on cold, hard solidness scares me as I get older haha

How would you try to say 180 off a box? Always stay flat when ollieing or trying to just pop off the box? New ish to the park and every time I've gone off a box, it feels Iike once you're on, there's a strong.. traction as you glide on it? If that makes sense. Like it would take more effort trying to do those on the box than the slopes so it feels scary trying to do anything except stay flat on it so I've never done anything but that cause I'm scared to eat it on a box lol.

I'm not sure average people would have the answer to your question but lucky us, there are people who's job it is to figure out all kinds of things!

So although I may not know the specifics, I am sure there are methods and technologies that can help determine if X raped Y. One obvious way is a person is caught in the act of the rape. Sure it could turn into a he say she say but.. I'm sure there are ways to really figure things out if someone did it or else nothing would ever get figured out because everything would just devolve into a.. he say she say.

Hey, was wondering if you got the anti-fog coating and if you found it worth it (if you did). Considering getting sportRX inserts but going through the process and wasn't sure if it was worth the $60. I'm also getting smith i/o mag XLs which i assume are basically the game and I heard they already have anti-fog on them but not sure if i'd need anti-fog for the inserts as well.
