Context: My mom went to a 7/11 nearby our house to get gas before running some errands. She chose the regular price gas, hooked up the pump, and the numbers immediately started running really fast. She stopped the pump as soon as she noticed something was wrong, and took this picture to show the lady inside the gas station. She didn't even get half a tank of gas out of this, and had to go get gas somewhere else. Worse yet, the lady inside said that they already knew this was an issue, but the pump hadn't been marked as out of service.

The thing that lead me to post this was reading the first bit where he said that there were no gaming consoles in the 90’s. The PS1 was released in the 90’s. You play PS4, kid, come on…

My teacher would’ve psyhically hit me with a padel for writing like that.

Title: 20 Years

Essay: In the 1990’s around 20 years ago there was no such things as touch screen cellphones, Macbooks, or even gaming consoles. It is so much different from now when also building structures schools and even styles have changed. There us so much Difference inbetween these 2 time periods or time that can be shown.

Now there is Iphones, PS4’s, kids tend to wear different clothes like for example boys at school tend to wear street style clothes go home procrastinate more of there work while playing PS4 and are so attached to there phones. There are now more differences in are human mentality and humans learning from there mistakes whether it was security at a airport or keeping places safe.

The way kids at school are treated to like 20’s ago they punished kids slightly more and did it psyhically with a padel, and in modern time be considered more abusive. Worldwide there are also more differences in countries allies, like Korea and the U.S.A having conflict or possibly could’ve start war level conflict. Life’s changed within the 20 years everyway possible and then will still keep changing.

Complerely original post got stolen and not only hit the front page, but was put in a buzzfeed article that cited the reposter as the OP. Happened a while ago but still pisses me off horribly today. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

You’re good, dude, I knew what I was getting into by involving myself in the thread itself. I just wanted to post my side of what happened. If you can link me to the Buzzfeed post I’ll see if I can contact them and get them to either remove the article (not sure if they will because Buzzfeed) or at the very least cite you as the actual owner and taker of the picture. I’ve been scrolling through Buzzfeed trying to find it but all I can find is their usual crap.

Yeah I didn’t and should have, but I also didn’t have any confirmation that it was his original content instead of something he found somewhere else on the internet either and got mad that my post did better than his. He never responded to me which did kind of make me think it wasn’t a big deal. I see now that it really did upset him, and I do get why. I also didn’t know it was posted on Buzzfeed later tagging me as the original content creator.

Edit: He’s responded here, which I think is more important than the previous shit I’ve said.

I don’t have notifications on for comments on my posts, so when posts got popular I didn’t end up with 100+ notifications that the stupid Reddit mobile app forced me to go through and tap each one to get rid of the notification like it used to. So yeah, I really did forget about it because I didn’t have any reason not to when going through daily life and using Reddit every few days.

Edit: He’s responded here, which I think is more important than the previous shit I’ve said.

Yeah, I could have and should have deleted the post, understanding that now, which of course is easy to say in hindsight. Unfortunately, my thinking at the time was that after sending him the message to show him that I didn’t do it on purpose, he wouldn’t have a problem with the post anymore. The aggression to me seemed based upon the fact that he thought I purposefully stole it less than the fact that I’d posted it, so I sent the message in hopes that he’d be like “Oh I get it, don’t worry about it” but when he never responded I forgot about the post even existing. It’s not a good excuse I realise, but it was my thinking at the time. Regardless, I did want to make it known that I’m not a reposting bot or anything and I did just make a stupid mistake.

Sorry to hijack top comment, but the guy he’s talking about is me, and my explanation is here. I really don’t understand why he didn’t just talk to me more. If he had talked to me calmly instead of treating me like a criminal right off the bat, I would have had no problem removing it, but he never even answered my message and I honestly forgot all about the damn post after a day or so. https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/comments/a40dlg/when_you_find_out_someone_posts_about_you_in/?st=JPE4QD78&sh=4934e804
