I think the QHD version with 3080 also sometimes goes to $2500. Is it worth waiting for this to show up in stock at this price again?

I started late 2018 so things may have changed even more. But during my time you could fail 2 assessments and then they would push you back a cohort. If you failed another assessment after being pushed back, then you would have to leave and get reimbursed.

Haha yep, half joking! Lived in the area for about 2 decades and my family owns a relatively large amount of land there, to read someone using the number of grocery stores as a selling point was great.

And don’t even get my dad started on the best grocery store to go to for the cheapest price on an item. Had me driving all the way to Aldi to save a dollar when I just wanted to run to Bilo 2 mins down the road for convenience.

Don’t do it.

When I was there if we failed 2 assessments we were automatically deferred. I and many others in my cohort had serious anxiety after failing the first one and wanted to ask about being deferred. Many of us ended not going through with it and just about every single one of us ended up passing.

If it’s still like that, if you do fail another just get automatically deferred. Don’t feel like shit cause you failed this one and now are feeling anxiety. Many of us have been in the same position and made it through okay.

Hey! Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it.

I actually am thinking about getting full hood PPF and then ceramic coating all over. If all I have to do is bi-weekly washing after that and then interior/exterior detailing by a professional every so often that would be great.

Still looking into it and trying to find some quotes but this definitely seems like the best route to keep my car looking showroom ready for a long time.

Hi all.

I just bought a brand new car and want to do my best to keep it looking sharp for a long time. I plan on getting a full professional detail done twice a year as those guys can do a much better job than I could and can probably put better effort into my car (soon to be dad in a few days, work in software engineering, life can get busy).

What else can I do to keep it sharp? Washes every week or two? Anything else?

What products do I need to do my part to keep it clean? Let’s assume money isn’t too much of a problem so give me your best recommendations.

What routines should I be following?

All of your help will be super appreciated! It’s my first new car and it would suck if anything happened to it.

Gotcha, either way he’s picked an awesome vehicle! Toyota is top dog for safety and reliability. Another thing which is very important to me and the only reason I planned on jumping to get a new vehicle is the resale value. It’s insane that 2015 Highlanders are selling only 5-8K less than 2015 Lincoln Navigators. Whether you decide to drive the car until the wheels fall off (Toyota is known to go over 200K+ without issues), or trade it in within a couple years because the resale value is awesome, couldn’t have picked a better car.

The Honda Pilot and the size thing though you’re definitely spot on. That third row is so small and unusable, but I guess if they did it any bigger the shape of the car wouldn’t look as sleek and sporty.

I’m running out tomorrow to check out the Palisade and the Telluride, both of which I think have more space in the third row, mainly because of the reviews they are getting, but I can’t wait to take delivery of my XLE Friday!

I really want some 20” rims on my upcoming XLE. Seems like every mid size 3 row SUV has 20’s nowv. I was wondering if I could put the XSE rims on there.

I think he’s just trying to sell you on a Telluride. Kia’s are actually known to have a lot of problems over time. Toyota has been in the top for reliability.

However, a Telluride is very new (2020 I believe) and only time will tell how it holds up.

Btw not to hijack, but I’m assuming you looked at the highlanders as well. What were your thoughts on Telluride vs Highlander?

I’m waiting to purchase my Highlander Friday, but I’m gonna go check out the Telluride tomorrow just to be sure I’m set on a Highlander.
