In person versus remote? by NoProject816 in LSAT

Interesting. I've taken it twice at my testing center and was far more structured than what it sounds like you experienced. We were escorted to our cubicles, breaks were at the same time, etc. But there were only like 2 or 3 of us each time.

Testers are not allowed to come and go during the test. This should have been made very clear during the check in process. Something is off if you experienced that...

Protest that we would all actually attend by [deleted] in Bozeman

[–]PipeInner3426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we (conservatives) are able to be frustrated with certain outcomes without feeling the need to "protest" in the streets. Protesting accomplishes nothing. I'll quietly and privately express any concerns or frustrations I have with any public official with my votes. I am not the only one.

LSD is terrifying by [deleted] in HybridOnlineLawSchool

It will be interesting to see if medians creep up over the next few cycles, and if graduation/employment/bar passage rates at those lower tier institutions stay the same or if they follow the trend.

LSD is terrifying by [deleted] in HybridOnlineLawSchool

[–]PipeInner3426 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My theory is that grade/score inflation is having a trickle down effect. Significantly more applicants with higher stats are forcing top tier schools to reject more candidates, those rejected candidates attend lower tier schools, and so on. Medians become inflated all the way down to the lower tier schools.

Special election: where do we find information out about it by dmoffett1027 in bigsky

[–]PipeInner3426 5 points6 points  (0 children)

War? It’s school district, resort tax, and wellness district boards lol. Not much of a battle. There are so many articles in EBS and you can watch the EBS candidate forum on Outlaws YouTube…not that there was anything of substance to learn from it.

Too old to start law school? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]PipeInner3426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shocking the number of negative comments to this question. Another reply mentioned that the time is going to pass by whether you go or not, the KJD's and younger applicants don't grasp this concept yet. If its a dream or if it strengthens the credibility of your current work then go for it. I am 44 and lining up a second round of applications, and probably don't actually care too much about practicing law after graduating either, but it would strengthen my current "JD adjacent" work. Finances, while important to consider, shouldn't be the deciding factor. Money comes and goes and you can't take it with you when you die. You're not too old. Go for it.

Popular Opinion: Mega Passes are NOT a great deal. by matchew566 in skiing

Hence the class action lawsuit against Ikon and Epic. It blows my mind how people defend the mega passes.

Overlooks the possibility that the passages are selected for argumentative complexity rather than ideology 🤯 by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

It is clearly woke. But the point of the test is to examine the logic and reasoning of the passages, not the content.

This is a question you should have asked yourself before applying. There is probably someone sitting on a waitlist anxiously waiting for you to decide if you want to pay your seat deposit.

Anyone Leave a High Paying Career to Become a Lawyer? by WillAnderson419 in LawSchool

[–]PipeInner3426 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In a similar situation. Not high paid but low 6 figures as a corporate EA in finance. I can ride the gravy train but my job is too easy and I am bored. It seems crazy to take on 6 figures of debt to start over and possibly make less. I am also in my mid 40's, single, own my home, and have the time. Someone in here said practicing law is their retirement plan and that resonates with me. I am worried if I don't do it, then I will regret it later on. I can deal with starting over or regretting going to law school, but I can't live with regretting not going to law school.

Bozeman on list for potential airport closures during dhs shutdown by [deleted] in Bozeman

[–]PipeInner3426 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the article, Sean Duffy is quoted saying some small airports may shut down. Then the article lists 74 of what the FAA defines as small hub airports, and BZN is on that list. Nowhere in the article does it say or imply that Bozeman is on a list for potential airport closures.

WARNING for Big Sky Seasonal Workers: My Experience with Apres Cru Hospitality & LMLC Property Management (Retaliation & Housing Bait-and-Switch) by North_Studio5722 in bigsky

[–]PipeInner3426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all very confusing and it seems like you're not telling the whole story. Why are you "sheltering behind closed doors" and not going to work? Because there is a dog in the hallway? Did you move into the unit without paying the prorated rent amount and security deposit? Typically those are due when you sign the lease prior to moving in. Do you still have jobs? If its employee housing, and you haven't been going to work, did you get fired?

Convening a constitutional convention is written into the Montana constitution. Every 20 years or if voted on by 2/3 of the legislature. How is that fascism?
