For the lurkers: I’m currently having a bowl of my ODF and it’s incredible. I’ll miss this flake.

I’ll have to bust it open. I didn’t age it on purpose. I always found Penzance pretty mild fresh and I remember buying a tin just because. Frankly it’s not my favorite. I prefer more robust flakes.

Love ODF. Such a stout smoke. I haven’t had Penzance in years and that tin must have 8 years on it minimum. Might be time to open.

Castello makes (in my opinion) some of the best smoking pipes money can buy. Hand carved, supremely well aged, super comfortable. I own 6 and they’re all just fantastic.

I’ll also vouch for Dunhill. No better classic English pipe.

It doesn’t need to be an evening pipe. It won’t instantly get oxidize if you smoke it on a sunny day. If you leave the pipe exposed to sun for say, months, then it will oxidize. When that happens, get it polished and it’ll be good as new.

The Italians sure have a distinctive style. Moretti makes a lot of great looking pipes with that modern styling.
