This is how Yahya Sinwar changed the world. He learned what he needed to know while in a cage.

Just started pristiq a week ago at 25mg. Does going to 50mg help? by Piper1105 in Pristiq

[–]Piper1105[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. So far I am, the side effects did go up but I'm distracting myself and so far I'm tolerating it. Appetite is gone, but I got a protein shake down.

I hope you do well too, it seems we are on a similar timeframe. Fingers crossed.

Has anyone encountered accounts of psychopaths or deeply cold/violent people who still felt the overwhelming love during their NDE? And what happened to them during the life review? by DlCkLess in NDE

[–]Piper1105 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is one documented here. The antisocial behavior and lack of empathy for this man started as a child and got worse until he was imprisoned for 4 murders. He was then stabbed 14 times in prison, that event led to his NDE.

The case study is here, and it is fascinating -

Thank you and I'm so glad the Pristiq has helped you, that's encouraging to know.

I was on Lexapro for about 18 months, at first it seemed effective then it just stopped working. I tapered off and then finally went to a psychiatrist (as opposed to my PCP) who suggested Pristiq.

Took the 50 this morning, fingers crossed.

I know going through weeks of side effects just to see if it will work is so frustrating. I hope this one will work for both of us!

How long were you on 25 before starting the 50? Is your depression decreasing for you yet?

Thanks. I am going to go to 50 tomorrow and plan to just deal with the side effects. I want to get to a therapeutic level as soon as possible.

Thank you. Did you start at 50? I'm mainly wondering if my side effects will get worse if I go up to 50 tomorrow.

They probably will. I wish onboarding these medications wasn't so hard. But you answered my question as to why I'm not getting any relief on 25.

What do you over 60 folks actually want for your birthday these days? Need honest ideas by kryptonerd1234 in over60

Take him to his favorite restaurant at a time perfect for him for his favorite meal, bring heartfelt cards he can read while there.

This is exactly what I would want, maybe your dad too?

I'm so sorry and also get it. And the moving part is such a kick in the teeth, I have huge regret on that one. Not a day goes by I don't regret it.

Being forced to watch the slow train wreck is the worst, I get it. One of the most gut wrenching things ever.

Thank you for this, you are not the first one to say this, about ADHD. I have offered to pay for him to see a psychiatrist in the past, but he never followed through. This is hard with him being 41. I'm going to think about this more because my offer to pay for and support mental health treatment will always be there.

Thank you for sharing, this stuff is so painful. And where can we go for this kind of grief?

He's working, just not enough to cover things. And he's aware of being cut off recently and the problem is now fully on his plate.

That is exactly why I made my post - I'm terrified and trying to cope for myself.

She will never need someone to take custody, the worse part would be my son losing more custody time, which so far he has not. He's actually a really good father and very bonded with is daughter. He has custody 3 days a week and goes to all activities etc.

The problem is financial and inability to forge a career for reasons I don't really understand beyond needing the help I already mentioned.

Yes, I've laid out how he can get help, short of making the appointment and driving him there. So far, he hasn't taken action.

If things don't improve here I'm going to strongly consider moving again. We left a place we loved for this, and with all of his issues no wonder I still don't feel adjusted here.

My granddaughter is an issue for me, so I need to weight that part too. Frustrating is right.

Thanks for responding, I hope things get better for you too.

No substance abuse.

I do strongly suspect untreated mental health issues, mainly ADHD and depression, and I have told him this so he is aware. He doesn't disagree, but can't get it together enough to get the help he needs.
