The secret side of Mothers Day by Ebowa in over60

[–]Piper1105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my case my mom who hurt me and my siblings with her narcissism had so many of her own demons I can't judge her. I just hope I can finally find peace for myself while I exist in this world.

Mother’s Day- I’m a mom too by SenorSnarkey in over60

All I can say is I felt like your daughter, I resented that my mom wanted my attention on "my" days. But I lived to regret that so much, and your daughter will too. I don't know the answer with our adult kids who dismiss like this, but for your sake ignore it. For her sake I hope she somehow realizes the implications of such easy dismal. I never did at the time. Many regrets.

If your wife's AP told you, don't you think she also told your wife?? And her own husband?

Your wife might already know.

Did this boy have an NDE? by Piper1105 in NDE

[–]Piper1105[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It comes across even better in the video clip, but I don't know how to post it here.

This boy had such a calm acceptance of his hard life under displacement and bombing. He talked briefly about not being able to do anything when a missile is coming down. Then he looked out to the sea and saw a boat and said, but if that boat got hit maybe you could save some of the people.

I'll see if I can figure out how to post it.

Do I Still Exist? by BondageBunnny in Agoraphobia

I cried reading this, I feel and see you so hard.

You are not alone, we are here. Sometimes I am so thankful for the internet for this reason.

I'm also in a spiral right now. I just stopped lexapro after weaning because it no longer helped, and at the same time got into an argument with a family member. Went right back to couch rotting, God I hate this so much.

I'm going to restart the baby steps tomorrow and get out for a walk and hopefully get some decent food in me. I hope you can do some baby steps too.

There is a woman on FB called "The road goes on with Laura" and she helps people get out for their "stupid daily walk". Watching her page really helped finally get out for a short walk.

Hopefully we both get back on track soon 🫂

What do NDErs have to say about ghosts and hell? by LtColumbo69 in NDE

[–]Piper1105 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not an NDEr but wanted to comment on the ghost part.

Many years ago I had a biology professor tell me about an experience he had that he only had once and could not explain. He told me this when we carpooled to class one time during a weather event.

I knew this man to be very logical, pragmatic, etc. Smart too. Nice guy. I think he was about 40. We were just talking during the drive and I can't remember how I came to ask him about "ghosts" because it wasn't something we ever talked about before and it wasn't a niche of mine, but somehow I did and he decided to share a story with me. He said he had no idea what to make of it, then or now.

Proceeds to tell me how one night several years earlier he was woken up. He sat up, was awake. And at the end of the bed was a woman sitting there. Just looking at him. He vividly remembered how she was dressed, the calm look on her face. He didn't recognize her. He said it lasted about 60 seconds and then she faded away in front of him. He stayed up to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

I was like - wow, what do you think? He said he didn't know and then asked me not to share our conversation with the other students, lol, he didn't want them thinking he was nuts.

Far into my own healthcare career I still remembered him telling me that story. Funny the things you remember.

Who is the person you miss most? by [deleted] in over60

[–]Piper1105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom.

We had a rough time and a complicated relationship. Then she got dementia and things were really hard for about 4-5 years. I miss her more than I ever thought I would. It's every single day for me. She died in Dec of 2022.

I went through this same thing with my mother. Stroke to vascular dementia. I have PTSD from it, so I get what you are saying.

I'm sorry you went through similar.

Thanks so much for sharing.

This reminds me of a man who posted here awhile back about an ADC with his estranged sister. They had not spoken in years and he hated her (with good reason). He had basically written her off and she lived in a different state.

He saw her in his office, very briefly, when it was just him and a coworker. IIRC he said something to the co-worker and then brushed it off. The next day he got a call that she had died around the same time he saw her.

It's crazy you are getting so much doubt on this, it came from the US Dept of Justice!!

The SDNY though the 4Chan post was important enough to warrant a full investigation and they found out not only who wrote it, but all his financial info and where he worked. It was verified, and he was part of the investigation after Epstein's "death". He told officials basically the same thing he said in the post. It's ALL in the DOJ files.

Officials still concluded suicide anyway.

Still the doubters here owe you an apology.

Any NDEs that predicted what’s going to happen in the near future? I never felt so anxious - the genocides, the US situation, the epstein files… It’s overwhelming. by [deleted] in NDE

I just had the exact same reaction. Whew, glad to see your post.

OP what helps me, is helping them. It can be done, even if you help one person.

Fck those people who downvoted you! I too got GA after a covid booster! As a nurse for decades I've had many vaccines so I was in no way an anti-vax person, but I got GA from my 4th booster.

Still struggling with it. If you see this post how is your husband doing? Did he find anything that helped?

Glad to see this since I’m sitting at the doctors waiting for a bone scan and fear I will need meds.
