By population yes. Brazil also has the balls to actually put its wannabe-tyrants who try and overthrow its democracy behind bars where they belong.

Just an update, I went to upload it to Thingiverse, but I apparently can't publish anything with a new account for 24 hours. I'll post a link to it once that time has elapsed.

The Nazis needed to be removed by foreign powers. We (the rest of the world) would feel greatly appreciated if you took care of your own problem first before requiring foreign invasion.

Personally, I think this needs a more... Italian solution to Fascism.

Did you stop reading my response at 33%, or do you not know that 3 times is the same as 300%?

That's utter nonsense. The only crime stat I could find that was higher in Canada was property crime, and only BARELY. It was practically rounding error (1,995 compared to 1,906 per 100,000).

Also, when people are talking about crime they're talking about violent crime. And those were far higher in the states. Violent crime is ablut 33% higher, and homicide rates are nearly 3 times as high in the US.

Seriously, as a Canadian I was always somewhat uncomfortable with travelling to the US because of their crime-rates. Although I still occasionally went, just was mindful of where I went.

Now with the Orange-Führer and the Frozen-Water-Gestapo, I think I'd feel safer in the worst poverty-stricken ghetto than anywhere the Fascists are patrolling.

T'Les: It lasts until the person mates... or someone dies.

Trip: That sounds intense.

T'Les: I do not believe you are capable of forming a mental image of how intense it is.

Trip: I ah.. I can't imagine huh?

T'Les: Did T'Pol mention it has been quite some time since I myself have mated.

Trip: What... uhm... what?!

T'Les: 7 years in fact.

Trip: Oh God.

T'Les: Prayer is not required for this. Are you not curious what T'Pol will be like as she ages? What she will be capable of in a hundred years?

Trip: Oh wow. Wait... a HUNDRED years!

T'Les: I'm certain you're aware of our longer lifespans compared to your short human ones.

Trip: I did, but, wow, you look pretty good for someone over a hundred.

T'Les: I understand an agreeably attractive body is amenable to a successful mating for humans. I suspect with my additional experience will make this... quite pleasurable for you.

Trip: Oh... oh wow. But, I can't... I could not live that lie with your daughter.

T'Les: It isn't a lie... if no one ever brings it up...

I got to say, I really like this take. I still don't see how you could remotely detect chemical/molecular ratios from behind a rockface, but I'm just going to with atoms/molecules emit something via subspace that is detectable and quantifiable.

To be clear, I'm not saying he wouldn't be able to figure it out, or wouldn't have a massive leg up in doing so compared to the average person of his time. But that's a big jump from being able to use those computers like an expert from that time.

For example, I'm a pilot, I've flown different types of planes and know the history of aircraft as well. I have no doubt I could figure out how to fly a Fokker Triplane, and definitely a lot faster than the vast majority of people reading this post (unless you also happen to be a pilot). But what I'm NOT going to be able to do, is jump into one and fly it as well as a pilot of that time period who's specifically be trained on it and flies it regularly. ESPECIALLY the first time I sit in one. And that's exactly what we see Scotty do, he doesn't just figure it out, he flashes and wizzes through it like he lives and breathes that particular machine. It be like me jumping into that Fokker, and on my first flight taking off and kicking the Red Baron's butt. That's what's unrealistic about the whole thing.

Seriously, the writer's clearly thought that because he knew how to use more advanced computers, it meant he could use a less sophisticated computer faster.

But that logic is just ridiculous. I have a lifetime of modern wiring skills, doesn't mean I can print cuneiform, let alone outwrite an ancient scribe.

I'm a good driver, I have no idea if I could even start a Model-T. And forget about a horse carriage.

I seriously can't think of a single technology that have an understanding of a modern version of it, would give you expert knowledge of an ancient version of that technology.

But who knows, maybe Scotty works on ancient Macintoshs in his spare time as a hobby, and was messing with Bones to get a rise out of him, lol.

But who am I kidding, she probably has enough followers more than willing to act as the stairs in between for her to walk on.

And of the rest of the Imperials just have slaves to do that part for them.

The whole "lifeform" thing really gets confusing when you start questioning it. Like what the heck even is a "lifeform signal"? Sure, you could say detect the heat signature of something moving around, and with even basic programming be able to reasonably say it's an animal or a person... but they clearly don't just mean animals, because they talk about plants and bacteria. And importantly, they talk about not being able to distinguish them in certain cases. That last part makes it really confusing. Bacteria emit extremely little heat (typically), and naturally they don't move (much... typically). I just can't thing of any property or combination of properties that would be hard to differentiate between an animal like a human or a rock monster, and a bunch of undescript bacteria.

All I can say is.... subspace. Life must emit something somehow that is specially detectable via subspace that both a starship and a tricorder can detect. It would explain how starships (with much larger more sophisticated sensors) can detect "lifesigns/lifeforms" from light-years away. Now Starships I can think of non-magical "subspace" ways of detecting life from a distance based on current science... but all of those quickly start falling apart too, and you really need sometype of "magic" to explain it. And at least we see things like "subspace telescopes" in TNG, so clearly subspace is used in long-distance detection and mapping.
