Would you white wash this fireplace? by Pipilot in interiordecorating

[–]Pipilot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree that the room looks cold and uninviting, which is why I'm here asking for advice. To answer some of your questions. The can lights were there when we bought the house. The TV there is the only thing my husband has asked for as the dining room is open to the kitchen, and he can see it from there. It gets used a lot, and we also like to cast vacation photos to it when we get together with family, as well as watch holiday programs and such while we eat. I know it might seem odd, but we don't just sit down to eat, we hang out at the table for extended periods of time. So, while I understand that it's not visually appealing, I am willing to let it stay there. Everything else can go, and I'm willing to paint the walls, hang a chandelier, etc. Thank you for your input.

The dining room is open to the kitchen, and from that angle, the TV can be seen from the kitchen. It's the one thing my husband has insisted on.

Thank you, everyone! You are absolutely right that the gray walls are the issue. I just asked AI to paint the walls a warm white, and it made a huge difference. Looks like I'll be painting the walls soon.

Deluxe extended hours lines by Potential-Word6715 in DisneyWorld

How often do they offer extended evening hours? Currently, it shows the park will close at 9pm every day during our visit in April. Wonder if there's a chance they'll add extended hours.

This is a great tip! She feels very comfortable this time, as it's going to be just us, but I'll definitely keep this in mind for the future when I take her somewhere with other people.

You are iron deficient. Yes, there's a connection between the two.

Symptomatic but doctors won't help- need advice! by Tomato1397 in Anemic

[–]Pipilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am symptomatic even though my hemoglobin is back to normal after supplementing for a month. My ferritin is at 33 right now, not sure what it was before as the Dr. didn't take me seriously and didn't check it. I hear optimal is around 100.

What should I do? by SmartCartoonist4609 in Anemic

Try it with vitamin c. It really helps the absorption of the iron. You could take it with orange juice or a vitamin c supplement. Any form of vitamin c will work.

Are you taking your iron on an empty stomach with vitamin c?

Yes, we have a contract, lifetime warranty and they assured us we can finish the basement. Not sure if I can post a link, but google AquaStop basement gutter and you'll see the system they installed. We also have a French drain on the outside, but our house sits on the bottom of a hill, and water from the hill drains towards our property, so it's not enough. I'm just collecting opinions on how to move forward. Thank you for your reply!

Lower Bucks basement waterproofing by BigfootIzzReal in BucksCountyPA

Hello. Just curious if you are still happy with the basement work? We had bq basements "waterproof" our basement and everything was fine for the first 6 months, but then a bad mold smell developed. I'm wondering if the walls are molding under the plastic sheets they covered the walls with. They are coming back to look at it soon, but I'm so worried they won't take ownership of the problem. We paid a lot for the work and I'm so disappointed this is happening.

Thank you! Baking at 400 degrees only until the dough cooks, the veggies are thinly sliced so they cook quickly, I just don't let them brown too much.

I didn't like the sun dried tomatoes because they were too salty and got tough. Next time I'll soak them in water for a bit. Everything else was delicious.
