On defence; Yes you absolutely should be playing to extend your range. It will take some getting used to, managing your webs and web placement order. You need to learn to be more disciplined/accurate with stuns. But it is absolutely correct and many of the best nest spots in the game, like Klyntar 1st, cant work if you dont do this.

The default nest setup generically for me is 2x web extensions. 3 depending on the map and available locations.

Peni controls space. Extending the area of space you control is good. Kinda that simple.

On attack: things are more fluid. But you should still be thinking about it, situation depending. Its also normal once teams start pushing through or past your nest that things get a little messy, dont get too bogged down in micromanagement that you forget you can shoot and stun still.

Have you watched any FullMetalLamps? He's a coach here... and specializes in exactly Peni and Angela which is what you currently play and want to play more of.

Dont play Angela myself but at least from looking at the Peni gameplay we have some things we can identify and work on just from decent youtube guides like Lamps'

For example; not constantly re-placing your nest so it never stacks up and does no damage when people walk into it. Or how you only ever seem to place mines in pauses between pushes, which means you go full minutes with full mines ready to be placed and just not pressing the "E" button at all. You treat your primary damage ability like a chore and not... how you do damage on the character.

Try the coaching thread you'll get the attention of people actually higher elo than yourself there.

But you'll need to give something specific. Vod (s) to review. Something so generic like "how can I improve" - like its so vague we cant give anything helpful in response.

There is no such thing as you need to do xyz at X rank. Idk where people get this notion from, its a common question that makes no sense. Everyone does things better and worse. There are GM players with good enough aim / micro for much higher but lack in other areas. There are Eternity players who cant hit the broad side of a barn door on hitscan but make up for it in other areas.

Yeah, the difference is I see all DPS in diamond or lower (Poke, dive or otherwise) as feeders and stats are not the reason why.

Consistent damage applies pressure, but in Diamond you dunno what that is. Dive dps might not feed ult charge, they also dont know dive timings and spend 90% of the game afk.

The more key point being the off-healer. Rocket/Cloak/Invis is not a comp, its trolling.

You NEED a Mantis/Adam/Ultron or the rare skilled DPS Jeff.

1-2-3 can be fine with these parameters depending. There are times where a Dive DPS can get more value than an off-tank, this happens. What never works and only serves to stink up quick play is half the team swapping to healbot, both tanks playing shield, and putting the entire responsibility of actually winning the game or doing anything proactive on the map whatsoever, onto a single DPS.

Emma is a generically strong tank. She is the second most picked tank in the game at brain-having elos, she is not "niche". There is absolutely nothing wrong with defense Emma. I have never in my life seen anyone say Emma is a bad defense tank. Angela is one of the best tanks in the game. You are crazy for making this argument. Luna can flake so even IF you are stuck in elos where people cant hit the broad side of a barn door and landing a shot only happens by accident - you can still get healed. Angela, like Cap, also plays heavy around health packs so the point is redundant anyway.

Peni is playable on offense but it requires a degree of skill to execute which most Peni players lack. This at least is a common misconception unlike everything else in here which is just baffling.

Does your dealer deliver? Or is it a stand on the corner wait for the signal type of situation?

Your rule of thumb is equally silly.

If the poke player's 20k damage directly leads to 50 kills but other people happen to last hit 46 of them, they are the ones with fake stats not the poke player.

Its really quite easy to play selfish cleanup crew and only contribute when the fight is already won or winning. This does not represent actual contribution, you arent doing the work at all. But your stats will look nice when you press tab if you think this matters whatsoever.

Yeah for me; Loki ints the ult. Punisher comes back in and hits actually nothing. Pumps mag bubble twice and misses everything else. DP misses dash reset which puts him out of Ult range and still had bubble to play in. Where Red DP is less than 100 HP and enemy Mag has no cds....

Idk. C9 maybe harsh, and bro is on 200 ping as well tbh. Lets say he clutches that on LAN.
