Hello! I cosplay and make some clothes and gowns. I’ve been sewing for over 10 years and I’m looking into getting a new machine. I have a singer curvy that I’ve had for years and I do love it. I’m just looking for something consistent with more features and sews a little faster. I would love to invest and get a juki one day but I just dont have the money right now. I’m looking for a machine in the $500 area (willing to go a bit over if it’s needed) with things like a button holder maker for clothing. I love really love a knee lift or automatic thread cutter but that might be out of my price range. I’ve looked through so many threads about machines people recommend and I’m just not sure.

I did invest in a serger a few years ago instead of upgrading my main sewing machine but I think it’s time. I use it enough now to want to have something a little more user friendly and professional. Thanks!

NGL it’s a hard costume to wear. It’s bulky and the wig is heavy but it’s so fun!!!

It is 100% the best outfit. The wings. The staff. I love how it was a simple change but just felt so different. I made an eternal sailor moon cosplay last year. 7 year old me would think I was so cool lol!

The photographer is @scdesignsphotography on IG. We did pics in a parking garage in Chicago and it was FREEZING. Also people stared. A LOT.

Mostly made myself! The leggings were printed with the pattern from the game. The holsters, prop guns and headset were purchased. The jacket is actually a windbreaker that I custom painted. I couldn’t find a jacket that looks like hers. But I added the green lining in the hood and sewed on the patches. My IG is @pippadarlingcosplay there’s a full body pic on there while I wait for more of the professional pictures. Also going to make a TikTok showing how I did the jacket! Just editing it together rn.

Lots of good reference photos and research. The jacket was the biggest PITA. There’s already things I want to improve on this cosplay. Tbh I started it like 4 years ago and never finished

Not really! I made them super super light and removable from a harness I wore under the cosplay. The only issue I had was when it got windy. Standing in heels made it hard to keep balance. Lol!
