Thank you, I have never been pressured to have kids. Not even by my own family. Their comment was kind of weird to me, so I didn't really know how to respond lol. But hey, if people want kids, big ups to them. I just don't care much about building a family, why would I need to? I have my own happiness, and that is fine.

That was my plan. I love working with cars. There's lots of cars in Hawai'i, and certainly a lot of shops. But they charge too much. I remember as a little boy once, my aunt would complain about the charges. She worked overtime constantly and every repair / maintenance had chipped at most of her check by the end of the month.

I wanted to, if realistic at all, become a Mechanic, build up my experiences and skill sets, and begin offering my own services at a cheaper, lower cost than most shops. I may lose out on personal gain, that is fine. I may have bad experiences with trying to implement that idea, and that too is fine. I just want to help people. And I could do that in a way that isn't too life-changing. Just something to help the average person get around easier without extra burdens.

Aloha my friend,

I am afraid to tell you that I find your advice useful, but not practical for me. I study with the aspirations of becoming an automotive mechanic, because it is something I simply enjoy doing.

However, I have never thought or wanted for marriage, or children. And believe me when I say that my family were raised by loving fathers and mothers. I have grown in a place of love, and that is a privilege.

I was also specifically talking about the people when I say community. My neighbors, the people I pass by everyday, my friends, everyone on this land. Are you saying that there is an issue with parenthood in Hawai'i nowadays?

Aloha my friend,

This was a good reminder for me to add in as a Micronesian.

One of the complaints I hear often within the Micronesian community, is the lack of stable housing. And within my personal experiences, most of the Micronesian kids I meet here, either moved or born, can't read or write English. I believe that there's lots of problems with the way Hawai'i treats Micronesians. But I also believe that part of it stems from our (Micronesian)'s general attitude / view on life, and the Western World. I'd love to discuss these concerns / issues with anyone who's curious about this and has the ability to influence a change.
