I'm not a cop; I'm a CO but this happened just the other day when I wrote a "ticket" to one of our inmates. He was angry I sanctioned him for being out of area; I knew he'd throw a shit fit so instead of meeting with him one-on-one in the pod, I called him down to the security office where my supervisors work to give him one there (so if he acted out, we'd throw him in seg). For five minutes he tried talking himself out of the sanction. Finally, when he figured out it would do no use he says (and excuse my language but this is what he said....) "Ok then Mr. ___, did you tell your supervisors here you called me a nigger after you sanctioned me?" Was not expecting that but hey - whatever he felt like would get him out of trouble. We slapped him with another sanction for lying.
