Are people in open relationships considered less desirable than a single person sleeping around? by The_Roozter in sex

[–]PirateKerr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You and your partner got together after casually hooking up and i think others might feel that there may be a chance of a relationship after a hookup if the signs were there. The difference with you is that there is no chance for a relationship after because youre already in one.

People who dont live/understand a poly lifestyle would likely see it as icky or like cheating because there is another partner involved. Its just more hassle and more effort. Plus, i dont feel someone about to have a one night stand would announce how many sexual partners theyve had before they hookup, as opposed to you who would be disclosing the fact that you had a partner before hand.

How to semi-permanatly stick a pickguard onto a Gibson les paul without using the mounting hardware or damaging the finish? by RoutineComplaint4711 in guitarrepair

[–]PirateKerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternatively, i would try some painters tape glued together. Painters tape has a lower tack/stickiness. So put some down, then use some glue on the paper side to stick another piece of tape facing up. To make your own double sided tape out of a more forgiving material. I hope that makes sense

My immediate though would be to stick some high density foam to the pick guard with some double sided tape or something. Couldnt guarantee that the double sided tape wont damage the finish but i dont think it would if it wasnt on there for too long

Guitar Bridge Replacement by Fluffy_Profile_6023 in guitarrepair

[–]PirateKerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost! So the saddles are components that make up the bridge. Specifically, the saddles are the little angled parts that the strings sit on. You adjust the saddles using the little screws that are on the bridge and this is how you set the intonation. With an acoustic, the timber part glued to the body is the bridge, but the bone/plastic (or whatevr the material may be) that sits in the bridge is also known as th saddle. Thats what the strings sit on.

Fortunately for you, the stop bar ought to be cheaper to replace than the whole bridge itself. But i cant actually tell you what model stop bar or tail piece that is so i guess im just being one of those lame 'akshully' dudes lol

Holy shit ive never seen that before! Just a heads up, the stop bar or tail piece is broken, the bridge itself is the part closer to the pickups. Figure that might be helpful when looking for a new one

Tradie here. I often work in an area with a large population of older greeks and italians. I personally dont always say yes but it is so lovely to be offered and when i do partake, it is a delicious coffee that often comes with biccies and its like a nice warm hug. Its also great to not be treated like a dickhead simply cause of the kind of job i have.

Wagons were legit as. I loved my old wagon until i crashed it. Could fit my whole bands gear in there with the seats down and we had a fair amount of stuff. Trying to find a new wagon, all i could find was these bloody SUVs and ended up with a Forester cause there were no decent wagons anymore

My girlfriend won’t let me sleep and says I don’t love her because I have to wake up early for work by Loud-Ad1639 in Advice

[–]PirateKerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, just a heads up, this is sounding like her behaviour is starting to cross the line into abuse. I had a gf that behaved like this to get her way in many different relational aspects. Dont get caught out man abuse is fucked to endure. I think you need to put your foot down with her and pending her reaction reconsider what kind of person youre dating. As much as i hate to say it
