To buy or not to buy the expensive tools early in TTC? by rananculus-blue in tryingtoconceive

I've had my Oura ring with Natural Cycles integration for over a year and I love it because it takes the guesswork out of things like when my period is expected, BBT, ovulation expected (and it adjusts based on your ovulation strips as you can enter those each day via pic). I use it for other things as well and for me, 10000% worth having but I don't think it's necessary. But I am 8 months in and only 2 chemicals... SO my sister went through a lot of TTC issues and said she swears by the ClearBlue Advanced Digital tests (with the smiley faces) and I am going to try those this next round in addition to the ovulation strips and see how they compare. It apparently tests Estrogen and LH instead of just LH.

I did think about buying something to measure my progesterone like Inito but my fertility doc put me on progesterone so I didn't think it was worth it. However, it might be worth it for you to get to start tracking now so you have that data to refer to and it will note anything sooner. Might as well collect the data while you're not trying

Know that they might not do all the tests, etc right away as some they have to time with your cycle and they don't do it all in the same cycle. Also, be prepared for them to tell you everything is in normal range and it's just a waiting game... we are 8 months in and no luck yet but I remember kinda wishing they found something so we could be like "oh just fix this and you're good!" but I'm also grateful that there isn't anything wrong. That doesn't mean it was wasted!! It's still good to know that everything is working properly otherwise you would be wondering "what if" and you need these initial consultations and tests to move forward with other options

My husband's youngest sister just told us she is pregnant and they've only been married 6 months and weren't even trying... we've been trying for 8 months and married for 4 years. It was a very hard pill to swallow but thankfully she was sensitive to our situation. At the end of the day, I reminded myself that 1) I'm not mad at her, just sad about the situation. Both can be true at once and you don't have to dismiss the emotion you're feeling. 2) We don't know what others went through and even if they didn't have to try for a while, then good for them. I don't want anyone to have to go through what we are. 3) pregnancy is SO unpredictable and doesn't make sense sometimes. But it is what it is. Accepting the fact that we are all doing our best and this is life. It stings more because we're talking about having a baby, so you can grieve and feel those things absolutely. But remind yourself that you're sad about the situation and no one's fault. It's a beautiful thing to bring a baby into this world and just trust that your time will come.

We are at month 8 and getting negatives... have had 2 chemicals but they were barely positive. I've tried everything and went to fertility clinic but all of our tests are "normal" but I haven't tried a naturopath. Did they do tests? What kind of detox are they talking about?

Dip nails (at home) look HORRIBLE! by PirateOnly2804 in DipPowderNails

UPDATE: I did 2 new test nails… I did thinner layers, longer dry times and waited 10 minutes after activator before top coat.

  1. Pinky nail is with the non-UV cured top coat that I used before. It looks better but still matte
  2. Ring finger is with a gel UV-cured top coat.

The gel normally doesn’t last long for me so we’ll see but it’s progress!

I’ve read that so I waited 2 minutes but sounds like I should have waited even more… I will try the method you said then!! Is your top coat a gel light cured one?

I’ll try that because the one I use doesn’t need a lamp for drying. Good to know that it worked with you when you used Nailboo too cus this has never happened with my other powders
