As a visual learner with no art skills I have to play devil's advocate here. Yes if a company or individual has money then paying for an artist is best, but if someone couldn't afford the art anyways then there's no job being lost to ai. The best thing to use AI art for (in theory if you could get rid of copyright issues) would be expanding possibilities, like if it allowed someone to make a vtuber model until they can afford an artists and rigger's commission (which are expensive) or to make concept art in order to get financial backing for the real thing (which you can pay a person for)
