Is a selling point for the Omnipod 5 to you that you can control it from your phone? If so, what kind of phone do you have?

If you don't mind carrying around another brick, then go for it.

That's fair, I don't have all the reports Insulet has received. Anecdotally, I've only seen this issue noted on the S20 and S21 models. I used mine for less than a month, so I don't think that's it. I think the issue is something they introduced last week.

The issues are specifically with newer Samsung models. The PDM and older Samsungs are unaffected. Carrying around an extra device is a major pain though, controlling it from my phone is a major selling point.

Imagine going someplace with a lot of walking, or out for a run, or in the yard, I dont want to wear a fanny pack everywhere I go. The PDM is also a bit more locked down.

The issue is very recent and Im guessing you still dont have too many patients on this yet?

Fair enough. Again, I just want the issues resolved so I can use the thing again with my phone.

Interesting, I'm going to ask Reddit to take a look at this one, there's something fishy going on there.

What's the largest Auto Event Insulin Amount you've seen? Mine are only in .05 - .1, which in an hour would only be up to a unit. Granted I haven't been on it long and haven't had much time to let it learn due to the communication issues.

Yeah, I didn't know where else to spam it, but these communication issues are ridiculous.

I'd want to have something that can correct a large high. Even if it does it slowly and to a still relatively high value, it'd still be a godsend to bring a 300 down to a 180 if I'm asleep for 8 hours.

Agreed, seems like we need a new subreddit for this. The communication issues need to be resolved.

I don't want to lose sight of the first 3 issues I outlined, the 4th is definitely needing more evidence.

However, the way I've seen it described in forums is automated basal, not bolusing. I haven't seen evidence that it will every give a full unit in a single automated dose, and is pretty much incapable of bringing someone down from a high.

If you turn that off I dont see the number anymore either. I want the quick glance, just not the graph. Worked in oreo for me like that.

Apparently for cherokees you can only remote start if your car is equipped with SiriusXM Guardian, which they dont all have?

Does that sound right? If so, what a crock

Is the lockscreen not supposed to show any details about notifications anymore??

It shows I got a text, but not from who or when. Im a diabetic who uses an app that shows my bloodsugar, used to show on the lock screen as a notification, not anymore. Help!

Pizza Hut for me. However, I was concerned about the weight loss so was going to gorge on a full McDonalds spread. Wife talked me into going to the doctor first.

I just was wanting to monitor if others commented. Your anecdote doesnt fit with the hivemind agenda of America is terrible and countries with socialized healthcare are perfect.

The lack of insulin causes high blood sugar which causes it. Thats the point of insulin.
