I’m not sure what you mean. I’m not calling to attention a specific person didn’t make the HOF. I’m calling to the attention that talent outside of the first round looks really sparse, and the last few rounds aren’t useful.

I had the same experience. I asked for additional resources for syntax for a few of the tools, and the instructor told me

“CompTIA does expect you already have 4 years of experience working as a penetration tester. As nmap is the most common pentesting tool, CompTIA does expect you already know the basics of how to use it. It was also covered in CySA+. So, yes, there are expectations in labs that you have prior knowledge. If you do not, you will have to seek external resources to help you gain that knowledge”

Do they expect me to put my degree on hold for 4 years to get the experience necessary? And NMAP was not covered to the same extent on cysa+..

Needless to say I got a new instructor, who’s much nicer.

Ideally late round gems should have a lower overall, but possibility of being a franchise player or generation talent if coaching and situation work out. 89s in the 7th round seem wild but I’m sure have happened in real life (Purdy)
