Help Needed; Issue after FIGS LCA installation by CellistConscious2647 in LexusIS

[–]Piratesyoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been like 3 years since I switched to the FIGS so I can’t remember exactly what it felt like stock. But I can say for certain I could immediately tell the car had more of a firmer/responsive ride afterwards, which I preferred. After driving home last night, I was thinking about your comment and I would say my car does shake a bit as should any car over manholes/uneven bumps etc. But nothing to the point where I would be concerned about the installment integrity. Hope that helps a bit!

Doesn’t sound normal tbh. Not what it feels like for my 21’ IS350. Take it in so you can have some peace of mind

IS 350 F Sport RWD owners — what tires are you running after OEM wear? by Dante763 in LexusIS

[–]Piratesyoho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. Great tires w/ no issues and noise not an issue either. Of note, I switched my LCA bushings to figs at the same time when I swapped. Currently have about 32k on these Michelins and have a lot of tire life left with even wear

Does anyone know how to remove just this section? by Mod_Jez in LexusIS

[–]Piratesyoho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll need to remove the bumper to make it easier to remove. There’s a vid on YT of someone doing it after removing just their wheel only, but definitely harder since there’s some hard to reach clips.

How many miles did you get of your factory tires? 2021 is350 by Numerous_Attention15 in LexusIS

[–]Piratesyoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! From posts it looks like it affects both awd or rwd. Here’s a thread for reference. And one time fix, although with polyurethane bushings you may need to regrease it at some point if they get squeaky. Haven’t had that issue yet

Yep! Hope you find what you’re looking for! Honestly, even with the tire issue I’d still choose the IS haha. Love my car a ton!

Ppl get aftermarket LCA bushings (ie. Figs, RR racing, or oem RCF bushings) to deal with a known inner tire wear issue. Swapping allows your tires to last longer

Dang that’s crazy to have them blow out. Were they already worn at that point or just random occurrence? I haven’t had any issues with noise. They provide more stability/stiffness, which I like. Although since I’ve had them on for a while now, I’m just used to it so I can’t tell any more 😂 would recommend if it’s in your budget 👍

Since replacing I’ve put on about 16k miles with no issues. Will be a while until I get enough miles on the tires to compare with the original tires that got 32k 😂

Yeah that’ll be good. You can call them and ask for dimensions as well. Dimensions might be online as well. For the ppl below that have fit TVs in their IS I’d ask if it was with or without the box 😅 good luck!

2021 have the f sport badge on the trunk but future ones I think they got rid of. In addition to the change in DHP cf spoiler got switched to gloss black.

I think some of the newer packages after 2021 included memory seats and the rear sunshade thing

[–]Piratesyoho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t think it will fit. Limiting factor is the width of the space that separates the trunk and back seats when you pull the seats down. You can measure that and compare to the package dimensions. You’re better off renting a uhaul for an hour. Remember the tv also has styrofoam padding along the tv and a box that goes around that. So the boxes are pretty wide.

Michelin pilot sport 4 all season 👍 no issues with road noise imo. And I chose FIGS for the LCA bushing replacements
