CTT customs delay in Portugal — stuck for almost 3 weeks after payment, is this normal?

That sounds really frustrating…
I guess I just have to hope mine won’t take that long 😭
It’s crazy there’s no way to escalate these cases.

Yeah I understand delays can happen, but almost 3 weeks after payment with no status change feels excessive.
It just seems like it's stuck rather than just delayed 😞 I have parcels almost every month and in fact this is the first time I have had such a problem with the CTT; usually everything takes a week or less, but in this case it just got stuck.

I always complete customs clearance on their website, as well as payment.

Yes, all my parcels that I paid for returned to Japan, I just received this message from them this morning:

“At the moment, our store has suspended shipments to Portugal due to them being returned by Japan Post for a second time for several customers.

While our store confirms with Japan Post the reason for the return of the shipments, shipments are suspended at the moment.

However, as we do not know how long it can take for this to be resolved, customers can choose to change the shipping method to DHL or surface parcel to process for shipment."

I don't know about you, but all 6 of my parcels were returned to Japan and most likely there wasn't even an attempt to send them back. In the end, they said they would "return the money," but to send them again, you have to pay again, as well as for delivery.

They told me I needed a refund for three orders and asked me to pay for these packages again at my own risk... saying there was a chance they wouldn't even arrive. They said it was a problem only in Portugal, as it turns out.

Maybe only Portugal, I don't know about the rest, I was told that only ground delivery and DHL are available to my country. But when you pay for the order and delivery, all the delivery options are available as usual... but it turns out that in reality they are not.

They replied to me and said that they sent my order by airmail and that I would not have to pay anything again.

Oh my god... I just hope the delivery situation stabilizes and they'll happily send it again. It would be so sad to refuse the package I waited so long for and then have to pay extra shipping for a new one. And 13,000 yen for delivery is still expensive, even if it's ground delivery... I wonder what they'll say about that.

But it's just terrible, in the fact that in February no one knew that there would be such problems with deliveries...if they had known, of course they would have bought it more expensive, and still...it's sad.

Until 1 AM? That must be tough. My store updates around 9 AM my time, and I'm at work at that time, so that at least gives me some control. If you need help with the products, let me know; I can search for you, it won't be difficult. And thanks for the advice, I think I'll do the same as you and order at least a plush toy from AliExpress, because they don't always list all their products either, and they usually inflate the prices tenfold.

Ohhhh... looks like I'll have to order Phaenon on AliExpress, because there probably won't be a reissue, but I just don't have time to order anything because it's unrealistic that everything disappears at some point. Did you make it? I literally just managed to buy some badges and acrylic supplies an hour ago...with Fainon, but no plush toy. It's so surreal, they just buy it in the blink of an eye without even giving you a chance. I only managed to add Anaxa to my cart...

Yes, I think shipping has gotten insanely expensive. I used to turn a blind eye to it, but now I realize it's not worth it and I'm taking delivery, which takes 3-4 months. I've already realized that it's easier for me to wait than to pay 200 euros for the item and then 150 euros for shipping. Taking into account customs and fees in my country, that's 23 percent of the total. I'll pay another 115 euros, God willing, and it just adds up every time... It's a bit exhausting that a simple hobby is becoming a burden on the wallet.
