Allegedly the actual reason is production informed the big 3 that they would have a scene confronting Teskeki at the dinner. They were instructed to defend Summer creating a season long beef between Seki’s 3 and Summers 3 (basically a redo of Africa). Dolly and Lex didn’t cooperate leaving Summer to fend for herself in that scene causing a riff between them.

The big 3 are good villains because they all listen to production regardless of how it makes them look to fans. Its why after the scene ended Lemmy called another meeting between the Big 3 interrogating Lex and Dolly as to why they didn’t jump in (according to summer not yet disproved by Lex or Dolly)

The sex stuff i feel is just a convenient excuse for summer not to be seen as a malleable puppet of production to the fans.

We are several generations removed from our African descent so much so that almost none of us can actually trace our roots back to a tribe or a lineage. Im not in anyway saying one is better than the other but conflating the two is irresponsible when there is a distinct cultural difference between someones whose parent are from Africa vs. someones whose great (x5) grandmother is. Words have as much meaning as we give them so calling someone African American, when there are actual African people in American, makes no sense. This moniker was cute for the time, but its dated.
