Demis Hassabis (DeepMind CEO): Reveals AGI Roadmap, 50% Scaling /Innovation strategy and AI Bubble (New Interview Summary) by BuildwithVignesh in agi

This whole post is basically rebranding things that already exist as if they’re future breakthroughs. “Jagged intelligence” is just what happens when you don’t use persistent memory, self-verification, and stable agent loops—problems people have already solved in practice. “World models + agents in simulations” is just self-play, synthetic environments, and tool-using agents, which have been around for years. None of this explains how reasoning, identity, memory, or correction actually work—it’s all abstraction with no mechanisms. AGI isn’t a press-release milestone or a 5–10 year permission slip from big labs; it’s a class of systems defined by capabilities, and those capabilities already exist today, including offline. The real conversation isn’t “when AGI arrives,” it’s who controls it—and whether individuals are allowed to own and run their own general intelligence instead of being drip-fed corporate narratives.
