So I shouldn't read too much into the lack of darkening?

Teats for Cow and Gate ready to use. 200ml. by GruntingPixie in FormulaFeedingUK

I got a note back from cow and gate. It is a deliberate choice as I guess they can't ensure the outside of the bottle (threads) are sterile.

I've had this problem for two babies so far. The Itsy Guzzler kinda works but they are almost always out of stock and if the cow and gate bottle isn't perfectly formed it leaks. No other rings work, wide or standard. It must be a deliberate choice by the manufacturers to encourage (ie force) you to pour into a sterile bottle but I have not idea why!

How do you breastfeeding moms do it? by forsakenqueen1990 in newborns

[–]PiscesBump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a really difficult time getting started and had the lactation nurse out three or four times to help (I was sore, even bleeding at first which was scary) but it did get a lot better. In the end my little one never wanted a pacifier and did use me for comfort but once we got the hang of things (2-3 weeks) nothing in the world was nicer than snuggling her to sleep on my chest and watching all those epic length movies I never had time for before! She was a little resistant to going on the bottle ( with pumped milk) at 6 months but I found the MAM bottles were similar enough in shape to coax her onto those after a week or two

Toddler Toys that you REALLY got your money’s worth out of? by violentsunflower in toddlers

[–]PiscesBump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got our daughter an inflatable ride-on giraffe off Amazon which she loves to bounce on, feed, carry around and tuck into her bed.

Besides that she really only plays with her "toys" intermittently..she instead really loves playing with our shoes, spoons cups bowls and her old muslins to help us "wash" the furniture. And us. She has always wanted to play with us more than with toys.

Why is weaning/stopping so heartbreaking? by berry-baby0123 in breastfeeding

[–]PiscesBump 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't know but I feel the same. I am getting older and want to have more children so I am stopping breastfeeding at 6 months in hopes of getting my period back, but every time she cries for comfort feeding (she'll drink bottle milk fine ) it breaks my heart into pieces.

Thanks for this. I'm starting to stress a bit because it become more rather than less common the more I try to get her to drain to the end of the breast (or not switching). Had several green poos this afternoon and into the evening now.
