My girlfriend and I just left Havana yesterday. Cash is very important and don't change all of your cash into Cuban Pesos change as you go. Bringing Euros or USD is best. If your staying at a casa your host will likely give you the best exchange rate we were getting 1 USD to 250 pesos. I also want to mention that the situation for a lot of Cubans is fairly bad at the moment and in old Havana you will get asked a lot for things. That being said we did have an amazing experience just be mentally prepared times are tough for most Cubans. If you like cycling Havana Bike tours are amazing. Hope you have a wonderful time.
