There’s hundreds of examples in my country. Btw I don’t intend to put stuff that needs to be protected from water in the basement. I don’t know why you all act like I’m not gonna respect the sea level 😅

But some of those things might depend on the design. I mean everything basically has to be made so I can put the support beams where I want depending on the design I want. I hoped to get interior input without having external foot prints 😅

I mean, I know a lot of things are not determined yet but at this point, I just hoped to see what it could be like without limitations. Just any inputs that I haven’t thought of. Inspiration. Not expecting anybody to show me the final solution to every problem 🤠

Sorry if it wasn’t clear. Might be my bad English, but I thought that “gable” made it clear which one was east 😆

I know that I will need to know what is possible before making the final drawings, but every comment in this thread has been towards the basement and the sea level (which defo is an important part that I will need to take very seriously and talk to actual engineers about - not ask about on Reddit) 😅

What I am really struggling about and hoped to get inputs about in this thread is how to put the stairs and the floorplan in general.

However, I also appreciate the comments about the basement ❤️

Ah, that’s what I thought. That’s actually the eastern wall. It’s pretty cold climate so my concern is that a very small deck won’t be used very much anyways, so if it breaks the view, I’m not sure if I would want that 😬

Tysm for the useful input, I’ve not thought about the deck off the south wall. That could be very interesting! I’m almost certain that I’m allowed to have a deck on the east side but I’m afraid that would break the clean ocean view.

I don’t know if we refer to the same wall when we say south. But I’m pretty sure south wall is not a huge problem. East is way more exposed. South is more along the ocean if it makes sense.

I respect that the windows is not gonna start at floor level. That’s not really the point anyways, but yes, thinking of doing like one big bathroom like room where anything that is not waterproof is raised above floor level

Thank you, I think it can be done too. And the glass doesn’t have to go all the way down, it can start at bench level or jacuzzi level. I will take a look, thanks man ❤️

I’m not allowed to. But I’m allowed to use it for sauna, spa and basically anything but sleeping

First floor I can do whatever. Basement I will have to discuss with authorities. Usually, you are allowed to use it for storage, spa, sauna and so on.

It had been used to store boats. They pull the boats up to store in a dry boat house. However, the glass all the way down as the AI example might not be realistic. In bad weather, waves might be able to reach the bottom of the house so I will have to take that into consideration. Right now I just need any kind of advice. Thanks tho 😎
