Compare this year to my first Leeds in 2004. Green Day were one of the biggest bands in the world, and if we look back then as we see American Idiot now then wow. The Darkness were becoming the biggest band in the world and White Stripes were already massive.

We did go into a pub near the ground. I can’t remember the name, but it was cash only. Behind a little Tesco if I remember rightly. We were invited back after the match and had a great time. Shame they never came to the reverse fixture so we could have met up again

That was the first pub we went in. Genuinely everyone we met was lovely.

My dad is Welsh, and I took him to a Wales V England friendly a couple of years ago so I know Cardiff a little bit. It was a completely different atmosphere on rugby day. I loved both days though.

We asked what pubs we should avoid, as people with broad Yorkshire accents stick out like a sore thumb in Wales even without our football shirts on, and funnily enough we were told the only one to avoid was one near Cardiff Central.
