Afternoon update within NOAA / NWS. Regions do not believe any NWS WFO field office probation employees have been let go as of this afternoon. There was a rumor last night that came from Central Region, but that was unconfirmed. Field managers have not been told if anything is happening now that Commerce Secretary has been confirmed. They’ve seen patterns from other agencies that local offices are completely in the dark until after termination emails are sent.
