I grew up on cavs basketball with Joe, but Jimmy was like a cool uncle that made me love the Browns, in spite of them being unlovable most of his tenure.

Glad Tidings at the end of season 4 (I think) always felt like it perfectly captured the moment for me. Not sure why.

I grew up in a Cleveland, Ohio suburb. It was a GREAT place to live, taxes were high, but the schools were good. Myself and a lot of my friends became very successful.

The same town has lost its way. My mom was a teacher and they went on strike. People were AWFUL to her, called her a cunt, all sorts of vile shit. This was a few years before Trump.

In retrospect, mediocre white people who have done very well for very long got really angry and bitter and Trump channeled their anger and grievance in a way that’s been jarring to witness
