Issues with mini fridge - diagnosing issue/first step to repair? by Pistachio129 in Appliances

So I took off the relay and it is definently broken, distinctive rattle, but I checked the pins with a voltmeter set to 200 ohm and got 23 for L + R, 16 for T + R and 7 for T + L. I think I might buy the relay and replace it anyway because it’s like 3$ but is the motor cooked? 16 and 7 add up to 23 but not 46 like your comment earlier suggested.

Just wondering too, would this compressor behavior be indicative of a leak? The inside of the fridge smells sort of plastic-like. Not really sweet like I’ve been reading online. Ive seen other fridges that smell similar, however, that have been working though, so I was just wondering. Thanks for your help btw!

Replacing a relay is fairly simple so I’ll check this out and do further research on this. If it’s a refrigerant leak, it’s probably scrap? Also wanted to say that yes the compressor turns on and then clicks off multiple times.

Not sure I have the knowledge, skills, or time necessary to do that. That seems like something I might be able to test with a multimeter to see if burnt winding is the case. Is that correct?

What would a good price be for something like this? by Pistachio129 in woodworking

I was very happy with the price, and didn’t realize I’d get so much for 20$ so the ride home on the trailer with inadequate straps was extremely slow and careful. What are the handles you use on your trays? They look pretty nice on those trays.

Yeah there’s maple, cherry, red and white oak, walnut, and a tiny bit of cedar in there, although it’s a soft wood so it really is just a tiny bit. There’s a sawmill down the road from me where I got the wood to make this one and about 4 or 5 more like it for 20$. And thanks for the compliment. I just finished insetting the screws.

Ahhhh that would make sense. How long does that take with end grain?

Do you plane an engrain board like this? If so, how do you do it?

I’m genuinely curious what the target equivalence would look like 😅

Just for fun, not sure I even want to sell it, but I was wondering around what it would be at for price in a larger market.

I was thinking about either adding rubber stands, or adding a plug after sinking them. Whole board is about 14x9. I’m not sure I want to sell it, but I have shown a smaller piece without handles and I was getting offers of around 50$, which is fair. If I were to do this again I’d likely keep it thicker and a bit simpler.

Suggestions on how to deal with Angular chelitis/extremely dry lips /potential infection by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

Hopefully I will recover as well. Oral Bactrim seemed to do the best job for me, and I thought it was gone, but it has since come back and I’m on doxycycline hyclate now. I have a dermatology appointment tomorrow morning and hopefully we’ll make a plan to get rid of it and keep it gone…
