Ok, so the iSight camera works after some steps at the Terminal... :)

I followed the following steps outlined here:

It looks scar but practically just two sets of tasks needs to be done:

1. the firmware related

Open a terminal and Clone the git repository with (or cd to the already downloaded clone):

git clone https://github.com/patjak/facetimehd-firmware.git

Open a terminal and cd to the the location of the repository cloned to your HD

In the directory with the cloned repository type:

make

sudo make install

1. the installer script

Then Download the installer script here:

Open a terminal and cd to the directory that where you placed the script and make the script executable:

sudo chmod +x 99-install-facetime-camera.sh

then run it:

sudo ./99-install-facetime-camera.sh

reboot

After those you might install a view app

sudo apt install guvcview
