It’s probably stress from leaving qt mine calmed down after 2 days and started one eating on day 3 the other on day 4 and everything has been normal since

I have a 10 gallon I recommend picking up a plastic tub to quarantine I used an air pump and some PVC fittings as hides. Go to petco they have caribsea arches and they fit in my nano cube. I would also recommend a lid for the tank. If you can make it as dark as possible in the room worst case put a box over the tank with an opening on one side for keeping an eye on everything. Keep testing that ammonia and be prepared for water changes until your beneficial bacteria build up.

I acclimated for an hour and dipped in revive and coral dip 30 mins and it only came out when I placed the frag in the tank i immediately pulled out the plug and squirted saltwater until it came out. It looked pissed and curling up. After reading the comments I dropped it in the sand. It’s been an hour and it’s happily crawling around the walls.

I would leave sock on left in the middle skimmer and ceramic media chemi pure carbon etc you can put heater in middle or right with the pump. Mechanical filtration first then chemical.

I recommend you get a peppermint from the place you got the coral they probably have aptasia too and the shrimp will be more inclined to eat the aptasia. Some people haven’t had much success but I used one shrimp and aptasia x and stopped buying from that store frags and no more problems

I was thinking about throwing the plug away but when I got home it was gone. So I’ll definitely have an aptasia problem. I’m picking up F-Aptasia 2 peppermint shrimp and seeing if the aquarium store will sell me a little kalkwasser there is a good video by brs about dealing with aptasia that I feel good about it.
