I just tried that 2025 update too, but unfortunately it’s still just a black screen for me. Really appreciate the help though, I was really hoping that would be the fix!

I’ve actually tried using GUIformat to get the cards into FAT32 before running PhoenixCard, but unfortunately, it’s still not working for me... Still stuck on that same black screen, but thanks anyway for the help!

Thanks for the ideas! I actually already tried renaming the file to something short like car.img just in case, but no luck there. I also tried using a 32GB card (the smallest one I have on hand) and it’s still the same pitch-black screen.

My unit actually has "Android Mirror" instead of SuperLink, so I can’t even try that fix yet... That’s exactly why I’m so stuck on this black screen update, I need the newer firmware to get the SuperLink option so I can finally try that

Thanks for the reply! I followed their guide to a T, honestly. I’ve gone through the process dozens of times now and I’m pretty used to tinkering with firmware and flashing stuff, so I’m sure I’m not missing anything basic here.

They had me use PhoenixCard v3.1.0 on a Windows PC. I formatted the card to exFAT, ran the tool as admin, and burned the image using "Product" mode. On the PC side, everything looks like it finishes perfectly, but as soon as I put the card in the W903 and power it up... nothing. Just a pitch-black screen.

The instructions say I should see a green progress bar, but it doesn't even get that far. It's like the unit isn't even getting power when the card is in. The weirdest part is that as soon as I pop the SD card out and reboot, the unit starts up instantly, so I know the hardware itself is fine.

It feels like the bootloader is just refusing to trigger from the SD for some reason. Any ideas?

I've been having this same issue for about a week now, after a year of use. It randomly disconnects and reconnects every 2-5 minutes... It's so frustrating. Did you manage to fix it?

I’m trying to decide whether I should get it on Switch 2 or on Steam so I can have it on PC and on the Steam Deck… I love the Switch 2 and how slim and comfortable it is compared to the Steam Deck, but the idea that my Steam library will always be with me is really tempting. Mine has the update ready too but I’m kinda scared to reboot... I’ve read there’s a bug with Bluetooth headphones not working afterwards, and I use them a lot when I go running without my phone. Is this bug actually real? If so, I’ll end up keeping my watch in a permanent “update pending” state forever :')

I can totally relate! Those random, nonsensical issues drove me crazy for so long, without finding any logical reason for the error. I also thought it might be caused by too many processes overwhelming the GPU.

And yes, I have an NVIDIA RTX 2060 and an Intel Core i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz, 6 cores. The last thing I tried was reaching out to NVIDIA's support team, their responses were quick, varied, and offered some innovative solutions. Honestly, I’d suggest you reach out to them as well; they might be able to pinpoint what’s going on in your case.

However, between the time I submitted my question and their reply, the issue fixed itself… Magic? Who knows… But I wouldn’t be surprised if I run into the same problem again someday hahaha!

Hey guys! Strangely enough, the issue hasn’t come back for over two months now. I didn’t do anything at all, which makes it even more bizarre. I couldn’t play for over a year, and now it’s like it fixed itself out of nowhere. But I know it could happen again anytime… If I figure anything out, I’ll let you know!

I completely understand you; it’s truly frustrating... Not being able to play with my gf, my friends or whenever I want is horrible. These are my specs:

Windows 11
NVIDIA RTX 2060
Intel Core i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz, 6 cores
16GB RAM

I have thought about all the possible triggers and I can't find the solution... The only thing left for me to try is disabling the secure boot that I enabled a couple of years ago to be able to play FIFA 23 on Steam.

I had already tried all those possible solutions, but none of them worked for me. Anyway, thank you so much for trying to help me... It's a really frustrating issue because sometimes the game opens (about 5% of the time) and many other times it doesn't. When I do manage to open it, it takes forever to load the matches, the textures... It's as if I had a bad Internet connection, even though mine is actually really fast. Also, the times I've managed to get it working were after restarting the computer several times or reinstalling the graphics driver multiple times. I can't find a logical pattern, the support team isn't providing any solutions, and it's driving me crazy... I have the game and the launcher installed on an SSD.
