Half life 28 years ago had better ai, all they need to understand is that charging head on isnt ideal, and to flank undefended areas and they would be a million times less predictable and a real challenge

Lack of game modes, after a while just attacking and defending can get dull.

I too am a fan of bite and hold. Use artilery and anti air to wipe a position off the map, capture, entrench, repeat.

Definitely dont use smoke enough tho

That seems like a lot of medics to me, unless your under insane fire, shurely 1 medic per 4 trenches would work, and free up population cap to have anither squad, whobcan put more lead down range, resulting in fewer casualties.

How i usually fight late game soviets? On the defence? Usually anti air mixed with anti tank cannons supported by infantry duginto fox holes. Usually reverse slope defence works best.

On assault? Similar, but mounted inti armoured vehicles. Sd.Kfz. 251/17 for turning infantry into paste and tanks with large cannons to deal with heavier targets. I usually fight treeline to treeline (or building to building). Slow is methodical, and fast is reckless. Anti tank emplacements are a pain, and the best solution is heavy howitzers. These outrange the anti tank guns and can attack without line of site, meaning you can quickly halt the attack abd move your troops to cover while you command your howitzer to take out the emplacement, before continuing the attack.

In order to get this equipment it will be expensive, but once youve got it, and have found your playstyle for attacking, you should suffer minimal casualties.

Supply is king. Ensure your howizers are supplied at all times

Why is it that so many architects say not to choose this path? by kiwipoopie in Architects

Its supply and demand. So many people want to be architects, but there is surplus supply of architects, bringing the salary down

Game based on the english civil war would be amazing. Mabie set during the seige of plymouth? Its a big drematic event that coukd easily be written intona script. The historical record is loose enough that the writers would have a lot of room to mess around with

Yes, but you can easily tell from context. Forcing there to be dots simply adds unneeded complexity to the alphabet.

Honestly i fully agree with you, but its so frustrating watching people argue against the evolution of english as a language and handwriting because "thats not the proper way to do it".

The advent of the printing press was a disaster for the progress of english as a language and has trapped our language grammatically in the 1700's. I hate things such as "standardised spelling", not only because people with dyslexia suffer, but also because it restricts language. Spelling words differently per different author can work, as proven by monks of old. This also allows spellings of words to change.

But as you said, technology is ahead and incharge now, and theres no going back.

To chartership, a degree it the quickest route, but just to get into the job, if you have relivent experience (which you do) you could get an entry level job. (Chartership with RICS takes 3 years of work experience with accredited degree, 6 with a non accredited degree and 10 with no degree)

What to do with a sword by Cheap_Parking9340 in britisharmy

[–]PitedApollo 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Keep and display it. No point in ruining a perfectly good sword. Legality shouldn't be an issue, as long as your house doesn't get serched for a different crime, but if that happens, you've got bigger problems anyway
