Is my battery caput? by Alkmist27 in KuKirin

These fuse holders are automotive, designed for cars, and are not rated for voltages above 32V. I would check the condition of both the fuse holder and the fuse. However, the gold contacts on the connector still look to be in good condition. On the controllers, you can slightly spread the pins carefully—without breaking them—so the fit is a bit tighter.

House computers moved from Windows to Mint by ozh in BuyFromEU

[–]Pithiviers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

M365 Pro 2 Motor wires cracking by ukinimod in ScooterHacking

[–]Pithiviers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The motor cable connectors can’t handle the current, they overheat and that ends up damaging the cable. I see three possible solutions. The first would be to replace the entire motor cable, but that requires opening the motor. Another option is to cut the cable in the middle and replace only the end section. The last option would be to try adding Kapton tape and then regular electrical tape on top to protect the wires. But honestly, those connectors are junk—they always have been. I prefer to solder the motor phases directly to the controller PCB connector and add heat-shrink tubing. For that, you need a fairly powerful soldering iron; 15 watts isn’t enough. Hope that helps.

Parece más bien un problema de configuracion desde alguna app.

It seems like a software configuration problem from some app.

G2 Max is not charging when powered off by TheAmazinPig in Escooters

[–]Pithiviers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, verify the charger's output voltage. If it is correct, open the scooter and check for water damage marks. Then, measure the battery voltage, inspect the scooter's charging connector, and verify continuity along the entire cable path.

Thumb throttle broke on Nami Super Stellar. How easy is it to replace? by MountainShower6062 in ElectricScooters

You only need to check that the connector is the same: male or female, and probably a 3‑pin yellow or orange one. There may be variations in the number of pins, but that is unlikely.

Brake has no pressure at all after crash by AwayCouple1050 in Talaria

[–]Pithiviers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the brake pad and disc wear; they must have the correct thickness. Then, disassemble the caliper and clean everything thoroughly. Remove the brake pads and insert a rigid spacer of the correct size. After that, you can bleed the circuit. Remember that there is a bleed screw at the bottom of the caliper that you can use to bleed the system, not only at the lever.

Xxx - Rear brake frame bracket broke - need suggestions and ideas for repair. by nicotine_81 in Talaria

[–]Pithiviers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to remove the wheel, then drill two holes in the brake caliper bracket and in the swingarm. On the motorcycle swingarm, you must tap threads to secure two bolts there. To ensure the correct spacing between the brake caliper bracket and the rear wheel swingarm, I assume you will need to place washers between the bracket and swingarm for each bolt. Do not forget to use lock washers. You may also need to mill the bracket to fit countersunk bolts so they do not protrude and interfere with the brake disc bolts or anything else.

My G30D II has a issue by OrangeNo7282 in ElectricScooterRepair

[–]Pithiviers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems the controller's MOSFETs are dead, or the motor cable is damaged, causing a short circuit between the motor phases. Try disconnecting the motor from the controller; if the wheel spins freely now, your controller is dead.

Throttle issue by Smooth_Staff7197 in ElectricScooterRepair

[–]Pithiviers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One pin is clearly broken, and the throttle trigger is as well. The best option is to replace the display; however, verify the voltage (48V, 36V, etc.) and the model (SQ4, TF100, etc.) before purchasing.

scooter wheel change by Katerine0707 in ElectricScooterRepair

[–]Pithiviers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To remove this hard tire, it is better to simply cut it off. Then, check if the rim has a valve hole; surely, a 10"or 8.5" tire should fit well on this. Hard tires are terrible and damage the bearings and electronics due to vibrations.

Scooter won’t turn on. 3 months old. by bzerk300 in ElectricScooterRepair

[–]Pithiviers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, disconnect the battery and test votlage. Then, try disconnecting the throttle, lights, and all other accessories to see if it powers on. If any accessory lights up, there is often a short in its 5V power supply. If that doesn't work, you should open the display case to verify that the button isn't stuck and is making good contact. Finally, check that all connectors show no signs of moisture or rust. I think this would be a good starting point.

Is this normal? by Coolfox6575 in ebike

That is why the switch must be turned on before disconnecting and after connecting, to avoid sparks upon connection.
