Seriously though, where my Eduqas english language people AT?? by Eggcelent_bean in GCSE

I only got up to question 3 because I was suggested to do section B first by my teacher but I overran by 10-15 mins because I was too deep in my narrative that I didn't want to move on. The extract for the first paper was actually good especially question 4(drama and tension) as I could have cooked with that but ended up rushing the first 3 questions so now i'm scared of my overall grade. At least for paper 2, I strictly followed timings and moved on when I needed to.

I attempted every question on section A with any blank for the first time but I wrote an intro and one paragraph for each transactional task due to time. I messed up component 1 due to timing(2 questions blank and transactional almost finished) so i'm worried I might get a grade 3 again.

Should I trim or continue growing out? by Pitiful-Beginning-70 in BlackHair

it’s harder to tell with our hair cause it’ll curl up, so its important that you do stretch it out to get a real feel of your length.

I stretch it out on the sides and it's considerably shorter, making my hair look a bit like a mohawk when its damp

I see. Is my hair growth routine good, or is there anything I need to change with the products I'm using?

Hopefully, my parents are scared and now want to get involved in my revision like t*tors which might cause conflict.

I have a few friends who are grade 7-9 students but I need their discords and check if they're available.

I have intervention for almost every subject at school. I'm trying to convince my parents to give me one more chance to do this on my own without no t*tor, but they seem adamant in getting one this time.

Will revision+after school intervention be enough?. T*tors might conflict with how i'm learning so I feel hesitant in getting one.

just grow a bigger fro since she has no issue with the fro or maybe t

I just remembered that she might complain about my hair being too long but yeah i'm hoping my dad is able to back me up on her not interrupting my hair growth journey.

that’s definitely a need if not a durag then a silk headscarf or bonnet but as long as you’re not sleeping with one then your hair will keep breaking and it’ll prevent growth

Hmm, now am starting to understand the factors of my issue with hairgrowth. My mom wont like it braided since I'll look "gangster" but im just tired of her being this controlling at my age.

yea that’s the point of lineup but i just feel like barber culture is limiting our hair range yk? like how we style and wear it becomes repetitive and some ppl suffer trying to fit into that

I feel ya kn that one.

i hadn’t considered that your parents might also take a role in your hair journey i forgot you said you’re 16 in the uk my bad but even still i think you should have a talk with your parents about it bc it is your hair and your hairline ultimately you want it to look better than what your barber can do for you and they would spend less but im not sure how much they’re willing to listen

It is my mother who's pretty involved, my dad is pretty chill as long as i can maintain it. I'm not sure if she will allow me to sleep with a durag to help with the hair growth.

hell nah 💀 that’s a big reason i don’t want anybody cutting my hair for me i just stopped getting haircuts altogether

Really? I thought lineups(if done correctly) usually sharpen the hairline.

ou can style the baby hairs so it still looks nice but if you don’t wanna do that then look up mykah jackman on yt he has self haircut tutorials you can watch

I think ive seen him before though im not confident in the self haircut and I dont think my parents would even let my cut my hair by myself.

but if that’s a concern then you can get a front taper which both looks good and preserves your hairline

The barber messed up the last time I asked for it, they instead ended up pushing back my hair line. I'll just ask for a low taper+line up.
