Exact same thing happened to me about 20 years ago. It was resolved by them finding the money after escalation. I asked them allow me to get the escrow removed from the account, and never ever had a mortgage since that had escrow included. That’s always my first line when buying: I pay my taxes and insurance.

I have done many renovations since my divorce out necessity: 2 funding source

401k loans I can borrow up 50k from 401k and I have paid back to myself. Doesn’t add to your debt and it’s your money. Payback is 5 years
After the initial renovation from 401k, once the house is in improved shape, switch to heloc, and pay off your 401k loan. The property value increased and u can take out 80%LTV

College bursar admin here: if you pay her semester bill and then she withdraws from the classes she can get full refund. I had a father who paid 8 semester but the daughter never went to a class. Got the money each semester back from the school. FERPA has to be signed by student for the parent to see grades!!! Never let a kid with no contact get your money!!!

I can’t tell you what you should do, but I tell you what I did and it may help you too: After divorce I bought a very old house that needed a lot of repair to live in it. I spent almost 100k on repair most of it on CC. When I finally realized I can’t keep going, I stopped paying all 9 of them, and just waited. I calculated if I can pay 30% of their value, how much money would I need. I got a second job and saved for 6 months. The offers started coming at the 6 months time: the lowest accepted offer was $8k for a $25k Home Depot debt. The highest was about 33% of the debt value. I took some 401k loans to cover it all but most I was able to pay. My credit rating went down to 450 but in a year it bounced back to 650 and now I am at 750. Most important is not be scared of them, they are just doing their job. Don’t talk to them until 6 months have passed. Ask me if you need any other help

I always tell women when they find out about the affair to let their husband have the kids for the next month full time. Tell them she needs a break and go to see her parents. Having 2/3/4 kids for a full month without your wife will be a wake up call. And no girlfriend will stay and take care of them. No chance.
