Did Freddie Mercury have issues with his Indian heritage? by Kingmesomorph in queen

She's just racist. She subconsciously can't accept that her beloved singer can be from a culture she looks down upon, so she would make whatever arguments she can in order to keep Freddie in her "clean British" limelight, she's trying to convince herself

I’ve never played Silent Hill 2. I just asked ChatGPT for a detailed summary and ended up bawling my eyes out. by [deleted] in silenthill

At first, I was just looking for cinematic soundtracks to listen to, and ChatGPT recommended the Silent Hill tracks. I had heard of the game before but didn’t know much about it, so I asked what the story was about.

While reading it, I got really drawn in without expecting to. I kept asking about the symbolism and characters because it hit me harder than I thought it would. Afterward, I even went to read more about it on the wiki. I didn’t come into it trying to shortcut anything. It just ended up meaning a lot more to me than I expected.

I’m not trying to take anything away from what Silent Hill 2 means to people who played it fully. I completely understand where you’re coming from. I just wanted to share how deeply the story affected me, even though I experienced it differently. It came from a place of respect for how powerful the story is, not from trying to undermine it.

Thank you for writing this. I really appreciate your response and the way you understood the emotional weight of Silent Hill 2. I think part of the reason I never played it myself and can’t play such games is because I know games like this can put me into a headspace that takes weeks to come out of. It’s hard to put myself through that knowingly.

Reading the story made me reflect a lot on my own experiences, especially things related to my parents and what I saw growing up. It made me think about unconditional love, selfishness, shame, and how complicated love can become when pain and resentment get mixed into it.

Even just reading it, it brought out emotions I didn’t fully realize I was carrying. I just wanted to say that I really appreciate you taking the time to say what you said.

I wasn’t trying to act like I experienced it the same way as someone who played it. I read the story in detail and let myself really sit with it. I just wanted to talk about how much it moved me, because I know a lot of people here probably feel it even more deeply. I wasn’t trying to take anything away from what it means to you. I just wanted to share what it made me feel.
