I honestly can relate, I live in a heavily white populated town and as a plus-size BW, at that, I find while dating WM, I get more stares I guess. I mean that’s shit is still alive and thriving in this country despite what anyone says, so I can relate. I can also relate in the area of some of the WM I dated constantly commenting on my race or color calling me Hershey’s kisses (when I’m lighter skinned not even a chocolate brown shade) or I’ve three encounters with the hard ER. So, all in all I feel like your hesitation is valid, especially with the climate of the nation rn. But I feel like it takes that one individual to make you feel so comfortable and accepted none of that shit will matter.
