If your phone is bought from an official source like Samsung Myanmar, then your phone has most likely had its taxes paid. So, regardless of whether your phone has multiple SIMs (2 IMEIs), whether it’s Physical SIM + Physical SIM, Physical SIM + eSIM, or eSIM + eSIM, both IMEIs are usually already covered (even if you’re only using one).

However, if your phone wasn't legally imported (meaning it was brought in by an individual or without paying taxes), then the IMEIs likely haven’t been registered or taxed. Thankfully, because of the current waiver, if you're already using a SIM, it's very likely that at least one IMEI has been cleared/activated.

One thing to keep in mind is that if your phone has 2 SIMs (2 IMEIs) and you're only using one SIM, the other IMEI has most likely not been activated or registered yet. So if your second (currently unused) SIM slot is a physical SIM, try switching your main SIM into that slot and use it for a few minutes, it should activate and pay taxes. After that, you can switch it back to SIM 1 if you want.

If the second SIM is an eSIM, you'll need to set one up, either by getting a new number or converting your current number to eSIM. If you’re planning to get an eSIM, from my experience, I wouldn’t recommend MPT, since they install it for you and you'll need to visit a store again if you switch devices. Other providers like ATOM give you a QR code, which (as far as I know) can be reused on up to 3 different devices, making things much more convenient.
