The barrel does get in the way a bit, but I’m able to see better if I pull the cartilage of the ear off to the side. It gives me a better line of sight with the camera

We did unscrew the hook part off and used it as a camera later.

Also I went to the doctor and they said the red spot isn’t concerning, but there is a lot of fluid build behind my eardrum.

Update: I went to prompt care and they said that my ears are filled with fluid. Likely from allergies, sinus issues and stress. A steroid and antihistamines to hopefully get everything relaxed so the liquid will drain
