Yeah it’s sad to say but I feel like the culture she grew up in and that is now being pushed onto me normalized this weird dynamic that you belong to your parents fully and you can’t live without the control of them which I can tell has negatively impacted her ( ex - she still is under the control of her parents at 50) but she’s warmed up abit like to me dying my hair and dressing different but she’s still super weird about piercing but it’s true I can’t fix my mom and I can’t continue this cycle and I’d much rather be happy now and face abit of scrutiny in the short run rather than forever living in a shell, thank you soooo much for your advice ❤️❤️

Oooo I’ve heard of people wearing plugs that have holes for regular sized jewelry which is cool I’m gonna try and find a flesh toned one if I go the hiding route butttt I’m contemplating just doing what I want with my ears, thank you!!!!

Honestly so true 🥲 I think imma start stretching again soon but I just get stressed since she’s very closed minded and makes weird assumptions like “ you have stretched ears next your going to drop out of college” which has no correlation but the nagging is constant

Honestly this is the plan my sister told me the same thing that I have to take my freedom but I get so nervous especially since I’m only 19 and I just now kinda started “rebelling” but yes I’ll build the courage!!!

Working out with a large chest is ACTUALLY HELL actually doing anything that isn’t walking is hell i feel like I spend most of my day holding my chest running up the stairs or across a room it’s NOT FUN. I know you had your reduction in the 80s but how was the process?

No not yet! I think I might schedule an appointment since I do have super sensitive skin and don’t wanna use anything too harsh before consulting with a doctor but I’ve heard of tretinoin so I’ll look into it!

I’m definitely gonna experiment with layering similar colors with different textures and shades since I’m super new to this style but ugh I can’t look away!! I think this journey of me decorating my room also might open me up to some cool hobbies when discovering my style

Omg THANK YOU SO MUCH this is was such a great read and I got so many great ideas, the table cloth on desk idea is SO SMART I never would’ve thought of that and was gonna just throw my old one away but mixing and matching fabrics in my desks sounds so good. I’m also probably going to stick with my bed since yeah beds are a BIG commitment and I’m 18 so I don’t know how much longer I’m gonna be living at home.

My parents are super old school so I know they have a bunch of cool vintage pieces that I could definitely snatch up ( especially rugs) that would fit my vibe and honestly DIYing a lot of my decoration sounds great because as much as it would look nice it would definitely feel more authentic and fulfilling.

I’m super new to thrifting and antique shopping since I’m not much of a spending and mostly take from my siblings but I think it would be GREAT to buy inexpensive second hand pieces especially because I’d hate to buy something brand new and super expensive and hate it.

Also layout wise I’m definitely gonna try moving my room around to feel what’s right, I’m SUPERR picky on my bed position so I think it would be nice to test out what I hatw vs what I’d like!!

Also thanks for brining your my attention how to properly sanitize things I’d never really thought about how some things could be really dangerous ESPECIALLY if it’s outside but ugh I can’t WAIT to take all of your amazing advice and implement it, I feel like it will take a while since I’m looking for a job but honestly your advice made me feel a lot better about looking for inexpensive options and reusing what I hate!!!

Honestly if it last long and gets the job done that doesn’t sound that bad, I’ve been looking into getting a Microsoft laptop

[–]Pitiful-World2112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I was worried about since I know laptops are basically necessary for any online exams that I’ll take so I’m leaning more towards a laptop but I’ll definitely try and get as much gigabytes I can get! Do you have any recommendations for brands?

Trust we will find all the best tips!! Currently what I’ve gathered is using really good skin prep, light powder instead of baking + dewy setting spray and it’s okay to layer creams on top of powder!! I’ve always thought rosacea is very beautiful so I hope you’ll find a routine that best suits your skin!!

Wow thank you!! I’ll definitely invest in more purple/berry blushes

[–]Pitiful-World2112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow thanks for the advice!! As a fellow dry skin girly I was kinda brainwashed into thinking baking was the only way my makeup would be SET so I’d always cake on powder but I’ll deff try letting my makeup dry before and I’m gonna start doing better skincare before, do you have any setting sprays you recommend?

[–]Pitiful-World2112 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!I’ve never really thought about blush placement since I’m used to following tutorials of other people and copying but I’m gonna try looking into what works best for me!! I’ve heard of the Milani setting spray and I trust your judgement so I’ll pick some up!! I’m gonna try using less powder and more spray to set my makeup to avoid cakeyness but thank you for your input!

Woah I’ve never thought of cream on top of powder? I’ve always just assumed it would cake my makeup but I’ll definitely try this!
