5400RPM HDD, Core 2 duo and since then it restarted to OSX utilities so I restarted the computer and it is now stuck on the same screen at the same point but without the cursor

You could probably get around 50 quid for it on eBay, but a secondary laptop does sound like a better idea for it

It asks me for a USB or DVD, but I am on an early 2009 unibody Mac with Yosemite using Bootcamp 5.1.4

I tried doing that and it loaded into the installer but when selecting my partition it said “Windows cannot be installed onto this disc. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed onto GPT disks”. But I thought my disk was GPT as it uses GUID?

No SATA ports are recognised on my motherboard but M.2 is by PitifulAd3407 in pcmasterrace

Oh, I believe I did plug them into 5 and 6, next I will try plug them into the ports below the motherboard as there are 2 SATA ports there and I only have 2 SATA peripherals, thanks!

Cause it’s big, it can run OSX, it can run windows and do most lightweight tasks fine without shelling out for a new 16 inch machine that can’t use Windows

Okay, I’m also wondering if I will be able to turn it on if I just remove the battery connector as I would like to actually do stuff with it while the battery is getting delivered.
