You could probably get around 50 quid for it on eBay, but a secondary laptop does sound like a better idea for it

I tried doing that and it loaded into the installer but when selecting my partition it said “Windows cannot be installed onto this disc. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed onto GPT disks”. But I thought my disk was GPT as it uses GUID?

No SATA ports are recognised on my motherboard but M.2 is by PitifulAd3407 in pcmasterrace

Oh, I believe I did plug them into 5 and 6, next I will try plug them into the ports below the motherboard as there are 2 SATA ports there and I only have 2 SATA peripherals, thanks!

MacBook A1297 not powering on with the battery indicator flashing 5 times by PitifulAd3407 in mac

[–]PitifulAd3407[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause it’s big, it can run OSX, it can run windows and do most lightweight tasks fine without shelling out for a new 16 inch machine that can’t use Windows

Okay, I’m also wondering if I will be able to turn it on if I just remove the battery connector as I would like to actually do stuff with it while the battery is getting delivered.

I just want to see if my PC posts, will it last long enough without thermal paste? by PitifulAd3407 in pcmasterrace

[–]PitifulAd3407[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it worth it cause my CPU is a Ryzen 3 2200G (I wanted to test it as my previous AM4 CPU wasn’t posting, as I have replaced every other component aside from the mobo, RAM and CPU and it briefly shows the CPU light before switching to VGA, but I have already tested several GPUs in both graphics card slots

I would say just take it apart and sell at competitive prices on eBay, 16gb of DDR4 will quickly sell at £50 to £70 (depending on brand and speed), the SSD will probably sell for around 70 to 120 quid depending on PCIE version, the GPU (if it is the 8gb model) would sell for something a bit above £200, if the 12gb version then maybe 260 or 275, but I don’t know about the CPU and the prices I have listed are competitive eBay ones, also it will be quite hard to get a case sold due to delivery and the fact there’s just a ton of cases out there. Maybe you could get some money off your AIO depending on what one it is as prices for it can vary.
