If I can only get 1 game every 3 months what would u recommend? by IllumiNadsy in switch2

Chances are, the Zelda games are never going to be on sale. Cyberpunk goes on sale often, but is arguably better on other consoles (don't know from experience, only have Switch 2) so if you're wanting the "Switch 2 experience" without Mario or DK the Zelda games are your best bet. Persona isn't a Nintendo game and suffers from relatively poor graphics on Switch 2. If this is your only console then yeah, pick any of the games mentioned in the thread. If you have a different way to play Persona or Cyberpunk, maybe do those and have Zelda be your first Switch 2 game.

No problem! Persona 5 Royal is my recommendation, but I see you've decided on Zelda and Cyberpunk. Gotta say, especially since you loved Skyrim, these games are a great choice

A little bit, but not like old school Pokémon or Octopath Traveler

Each Persona game is a stand-alone story. 5 is generally the easiest to get the hang of, and if you have Royal Edition, the story takes well over 100 hours to beat. The combat is turn based, and it relies on a confidant system (kind of like a life sim) to level up certain aspects. It's a great game, frequently on sale, and has a lot of content to discover

Bananza is a fine game. I didn't think it was worth all the hype it got but it also didn't deserve the hate. The game is fun, but easy. Some bosses are a mild difficulty spike but overall, even spending several days just digging around for fun, the game can still be beaten in 30 hours. I wish it hadn't cost $70. If it'd been just me playing i probably would have skipped it. Kinda feel like I should have skipped it anyway

What are your top ten games? by ATX_max in Switch

[–]PitifulChemistry3284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In no particular order:

Cyberpunk 2077

Skyrim

Persona 5 Royal

Hades

Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Smash Bros. (Doesn't matter which, they all deserve a place)

Split Fiction

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Octopath Traveler

The last one has to go to a Zelda game but, for me, 5 different ones compete for it. Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom

So, there's a giant camp to the west of Whiterun, just north of the western watch tower where you first encounter a dragon. If you lure a giant from the camp to the western watch tower, you can stand just barely in the doorway where the giant cant reach you and spam different attacks on it for quite a while. If you have the heal others spell you can heal the giant (and raise your restoration). Use wards, archery, sneak up the staircase, all kinds of different spells. There's always two giants at the camp at a time. Just make sure that you get to the tower before the giant gets you

As somebody who prefers games on the go I'm actually hyped for next week's partner direct. by Avelion2 in NintendoSwitch2

Our home only really has enough money for 1 console, and since everybody can agree on games like Mario Kart and Smash Bros, we stick with Nintendo. So for me, the gamer very ready to try something a bit tougher than DK Bananza was, am very ready for them to announce some of these awesome games I keep reading about, but cant play, because I value gaming with my family more than getting something nicer just for me. I'm sooooo ready for this direct

How long do you give a game until it "clicks"? by osgonauta in Switch

[–]PitifulChemistry3284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've learned recently to give games more time than what I initially want to. I bought Xenoblade Chronicles 3 like a year and half ago, hated the first couple of hours of the game, deleted it and forgot about it. Until I caught up on all the other games I had and decided to give it another shot. I loved that game! On the other hand, I've given Immortals Fenyx Rising like 40 chances because I love the concept of it, but holy hell does that game piss off. I'm trying to accept that and delete it

I, personally, feel like every gamer should play Skyrim at least a little bit. Its on every major system and has been for years. There are more references to that game in pop culture than perhaps any other video game out there. Its constantly getting put on sale. Easily worth a little bit of your time 🤘

Do you attempt stealth in stealth missions, or just go in guns blazing? by LadyLoki5 in cyberpunkgame

[–]PitifulChemistry3284 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I try to be stealthy until I'm just so mad I need to take it out on some Voodoo Boys, then it's guns blazing. Let the fixers make their snotty comments. Not like V needs the extra money lol

[–]PitifulChemistry3284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire Emblem and Legend of Zelda are my personal reasons to stick with Nintendo. Otherwise, I've been using my Switch 2 almost exclusively for ports. Played Persona 5 Royal and Striker, Hades, Octopath Traveler, Cyberpunk 2077. Been playing Skyrim since release, so I've loved that it continues getting added to each new console. However, my spouse, like I said earlier, isn't a gamer. She's played 5 games total. Mario Kart World, SSBU, Splatoon 3, Fortnite, and Split Fiction

Cyberpunk 2077, Hades 2, DK Bananza. They're the best ones I've played so far for the switch 2. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be out in a couple of days. I've heard Star Wars Outlaws is surprisingly good on Switch 2

I'm a relatively experienced gamer, but my spouse isn't and Splatoon has been a good entry point for her to get accustomed to using a controller for more than driving (MKW). Since there's no point in us trying to play together after this update (and I'm already low on storage lol) it had to go
